Shai Hope who just played his 2nd match of the season and scored a brilliant 82 runs in 39 balls against USA in the last match and got not out till the end. His first match was against Afghanistan where he scored 25 runs. He got the chance to play as Brandon King was ruled out due to injury, so he came to open along with Charles. Johnson Charles on the other hand hasn’t been looked at in his furious gameplay as his strike rate is only 113.82 and scored 140 runs only.

Sherfane Rutherford has played decently till now and his crucial knock against New Zealand where he scored unbeaten 68 runs got his team a great defendable total. His strike rate is 155.13 and contribute well in the death overs. On the other hand the other hard hitter of the team, Andre Russell, has been more consistent with the bowl than his batting. He grabbed 9 wickets till now and has an economy of 7.55. While with the bat he scored 63 runs in 5 innings with a strike rate of 165.79. 

In the bowling unit, Alzarri Joseph is currently the team’s leading wicket taker with 11 wickets to his credit. His economy being 7.41 and is mostly consistent in the death overs. Spinner Akeal Hosein who carries the best economy for the team in this season which is 5, has taken 9 wickets till now. Especially in the middle overs he looked more aggressive. 

Gudakesh Motie also helped Akeal in the spin department after taking 8 wickets to his credit till now. His economy is 6.45.

In the batting unit, Quinton de Kock is currently leading for the team in the runs department after contributing 187 runs with the bat. He scored 2 half-centuries back to back and has a strike rate of 147.24. He is looking in solid touch and might be dangerous in the upcoming matches. 

His partner Reeza Hendricks is constantly failing to score runs with the bat. He only scored 80 runs in 6 matches and has a strike rate of 81.63. He needs to spend more time on the pitch so that he can get more good runs with the bat. David Miller also contributed well in the middle part as he added 144 runs till now. Though his strike rate is a little low which is 107.46 and has got one half-century to his name which came against Netherlands where he got 59 runs and took his team to the victory. 

Skipper Aiden Markram has been little out of touch with the bat, though he got some decent runs against USA where he scored 46 runs in the 1st Super 8 match. Till now he scored only 78 runs with a strike rate of 96.30. 

In the bowling department, Anrich Nortje has grabbed 11 wickets till now and topped the list from the team in terms of wickets. His economy was 5.92 till now. He is currently the leading wicket-taker from South Africa beating Dale Steyn. Kagiso Rabada is supporting him from the other end with 9 wickets to his name. His economy is 6.09 and is considerably dangerous in the death overs. 

Keshav Maharaj is handling the spin department very well as he grabbed 8 wickets till now and has an economy of 6.1.
