The scenario in Bangladesh is not that good due to the political unrest in the country due to which the series against Pakistan might be in danger.
Bengal Tigers will play two match test series in Pakistan. First one will be in Rawalpindi on August 21-25 while the second one will be in Karachi on August 30th – September 3rd. Before those test matches, Bangladesh A will meet Pakistan Shaheens (A) on August 11th, but this seems to be in doubt due to the current situations there.
The board (BCB) of the team has already delayed the A team to reach the destination by 48 hours and it will be decided if the scenario will be little down.
Earlier the Prime Minister of the country, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post and flew to India for her safety and it is said that she might travel to the UK (United Kingdom) and settle there after the visa clearance. Some of the former cricketers who are currently associated with the government are also in trouble as their houses have been destroyed and burnt.
PCB has assured the safety for the players for the upcoming series and a source from the board said, “The PCB has even offered to host their players for the extra days and provide them with all training facilities in Rawalpindi ahead of the Test matches but they have not responded as yet.”
