Match 15: RCB vs LSG | Full Analysis | Pitch Report | Best 11

The 15th match of the tournament between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).

Teams Analysis:

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB):

Bengaluru mostly need to concern themselves with their bowling line-up. In this season they also were struggling as they won 1 out 3 and that winning came during chasing. Therefore their bowling needs to be disciplined especially in the death overs, where they conceded many runs. In their last encounter they got defeated which came against KKR as they lost the match by 7 wickets.

Looking at their batting performance, Virat Kohli is again settling the example. He is currently the orange cap holder with 181 runs in 3 matches which includes 2 half-centuries. These two 50’s came back to back. Therefore he is a solid one to give a good start. Skipper faf du Plessis started the season with a destructive 35 runs knock but then in the remaining 2 matches got out in a single digit mark. He needs to show more stability with the bat and against Lucknow he has scored 219 runs in 4 matches.

Cameron Green though showed a little bit more stability than the other batters in the middle orders. He has till now 18, 3 & 33 runs under his belt. But he has the potential to hit hard which is yet to come. The other Aussie Glenn Maxwell has missed the spark in his batting as he got out early. His highest score till now in this season is 28 runs which came in the last match.

Experienced Dinesh Karthik has shown the perfect gameplay in the death overs. He has scored 86 runs till now with a healthy strike rate of 195.45. In the three matches he contributed well in the death overs which helped in boosting the team scores. Anuj Rawat after a sparkling start against CSK where he got 48 runs got dismissed early in the next 2 matches.

Looking at the bowling side, their most experienced bowler Mohammad Siraj has an economy of 10 in 3 matches and got 2 wickets. He needs to improve the stats so that it can help the team in the winning cause. Yash Dayal though got 1 wicket in each match but has an economy over 8. Alzaari Joseph’s economy is too poor as he has 11.9 till now.

Probable playing 11 for the match:

Faf du Plessis ©, Virat Kohli, Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Mohammad Siraj, Mayank Dagar.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):

This team has a huge line-up of hard hitters. But the thing that might be troubling them is their regular captain KL Rahul’s fitness. In the last match Nicholas Pooran came out as a skipper but Rahul was used as an impact player. But still the team registered their first victory of the season as they defeated PBKS by 21 runs

KL Rahul started the season with a brilliant half-century but in the next match he didn’t come for fielding. This might create a buzz as he is a regular run providing machine to the team. On the other hand, Quinton de Kock scored a fantastic half-century in the last match against Punjab where he got 54 runs to his credit.

Nicholas Pooran has scored 106 runs in 2 matches and is currently the most run scorer in the team in this season. He carries the huge power which is depicted in his strike rate which is 170.97. A huge nightmare to the bowlers especially in the death overs. Devdutt Padikkal and Marcus Stoinis is yet to show an impact performance.

Krunal Pandya bowled brilliantly in the first match against RR and batted destructively against PBKS where he scored unbeaten 43 runs in just 22 balls. He is setting a perfect all-round performance for the team.

Mayank Yadav who created sensation with his bowling speed in his first match against Punjab where he throws the season best speed which was 155.8 till now. This young talent got 3 wickets and was named as the Player of the Match. Naveen-ul-Haq has conceded many runs as his economy is 10.5.

Probably playing 11 for the Match:

Nicholas Pooran ©, KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Devdutt Padikkal, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Navenn-ul-Haq, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Mayank Yadav.
