In their previous encounter, SRH got an easy win over CSK and it was also Chennai’s 2nd loss in this season.

Teams Analysis:

Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

After losing 2 matches back to back, they are in desperate need of a win to get back into the track. Their last two matches were against LSG and unfortunately they lost both of the matches. In their last match they were heading towards a great victory but Marcus Stoinis ruined their plan and shifted the momentum towards LSG. They are in 5th position with 4 wins and 4 losses in 8 matches.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad after a sluggish start of the season has been looking terrific with the bat. His strike rate also improved and is currently the highest scorer from the team with 349 runs in which he scored one century and 2 half-centuries. His century came in the last match where he scored unbeaten 108 runs and took his team to a great total. On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane has been seen out of touch with the bat as he failed to score runs and got out early. His strike rate also dipped and currently has 127.78.

Shivam Dube has been seen consistently providing runs to the team in the middle order. He has currently scored 311 runs in which he has hit 3 half-centuries. His strike rate is 169.75 and have the capacity to hit large sixes. Daryl Mitchell hasn’t been able to perform well till now due to which he only managed 146 runs in 7 matches.

Ravindra Jadeja performed decently till now in both the departments. With the bat he got 157 runs while with the bowl he has managed only 4 wickets with an economy just under 8. MS Dhoni is yet to be dismissed in this season. He has batted in 6 innings and scored 91 runs with a destructive strike rate of 260. He generally came to bat in the last or 2nd last over and threw valuable runs in the end.

Mustafizur Rahman is the team’s most successful bowler in terms of wickets as he grabbed 12 wickets till now. But his economy is generally on the higher side which is above 10 and he needs to be more economical. Matheesha Pathirana also matches him and has taken 11 wickets in 5 matches and is having a brilliant economy which is 7.6.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

They are having one of the most destructive batting line-up in this season, especially their top 4 who are performing with huge power hitting. They already recorded the highest ever IPL total in this season, twice. In the last match, despite losing their top order early, they managed to get 170 on the board but unfortunately the result didn’t go in their favour and they lost the match against RCB

Travis Head is in sublime form and has scored 325 runs with a strike rate of 212.42. In this season he got 1 century and 2 half-centuries. He is pure destruction and always gives the team a blasting start. On the other hand his partner Abhishek Sharma is also not less than a beast as he is scoring runs with a strike rate of 218.18 and is best among the players in the team. He has scored 288 runs till now, but the only thing is that he is mostly unable to convert those into the big ones.

Heinrich Klaasen started the season with his power hitting but as the tournament progressed he was unable to maintain his consistency. Despite this he got 275 runs including three 50+ knocks. His strike rate is also close to 200, which totally depicts how destructive he can be.

Aiden Markram and Shahbaz Ahmed both contribute some healthy runs with the bat in the middle order. Markram has got 167 runs while Shahbaz has managed 169 runs and also with the bowl he got 3 wickets. Abdul Samad and Nitish Reddy also added valuable runs to the team in some of the matches.

T Natarajan is the most successful bowler of the team with 12 wickets under his belt. His economy is also the best one in the team which is 8.71. Skipper Pat Cummins also took some crucial wickets in the middle overs due to which his wicket tally went to 10. In the last match he also showed his batting form where he scored 31 runs in just 15 balls.
