India (IND) Analysis:

India is the only team in the World Cup who are undefeated. They are the only team in the tournament who has made their place into the Semi Finals. This team showed brilliance in all the departments. They are performing continuously and not showing any signs of giving up. One of the strong contenders for the trophy has been playing like that only. They also created few records in their last match against Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma, the leader of the team has been leading in the batting department also. He has scored 402 runs till now with an average of 57.43. His strike rate is quite magnificent which is 119.64 and is destructive throughout his innings. He has been consistent with the bat and has 1 century and 2 half centuries to his name. Shubman Gill  struggled in his recent few matches but got his rhythm back in the last match against Sri Lanka where he scored a brilliant 92 runs. It was also his 2nd half century of the tournament and is looking forward to contributing more with the bat.

Virat Kohli the Mr consistent of Indian team. He is now leading the chart from the side with 442 runs which includes 1 century and 4 half centuries. He is consistently providing runs and has an average of 88.4. He can turn things easily in his favour anytime. Shreyas Iyer also struggled with the bat but in the last match he scored a fantastic 82 runs and got his form back. In this World Cup he started well but was unable to convert that into a big one, but in the last match he got everything right.

KL Rahul is giving his team some solid runs in the middle. He is a flexible batsman and can bat in any position. He has 237 runs in his pocket till now with an average of 79. He played an excellent knock of 97 runs against Australia which ultimately took his team to the victory. Suryakumar Yadav is an aggressive batter and has a tremendous record in T20 format, but he is doing well in 50 over format. His knock of 49 runs against England took his team to a respectable total. He can finish well with his destructive batting.

Hardik Pandya, who is the team’s star all-rounder, has been ruled out from the tournament due to an ankle injury. Prasidh Krishna has been named his replacement. He is a pacer and has 29 wickets to his name in ODIs. Ravindra Jadeja has been contributing in both the departments. With the bowl he has taken 9 wickets with a brilliant economy of 3.78 and in the batting department he has scored a couple of 30’s.

Mohammad Shami has shown why experience matters in this format. He just played the last 3 matches and took 14 wickets (5+4+5) till now. Among those three matches he has taken 5 wickets two times. His average is 6.71 which is highly commendable. Jasprit Bumrah, the other star pacer from the side has 15 wickets to his name. He took wickets in each match and had an economy of 3.72 in the World Cup. His swing in the starting position makes the batter uncomfortable to play.

Mohammad Siraj took wickets in the tournament but had expensive spells, but in the last match against Sri Lanka he got 3 wickets in his 7 overs and only gave 16 runs. He is also the highest wicket taker in the starting 10 overs since 2021. Kuldeep Yadav, the main spinner of the team has 10 wickets to his pocket. His economy is 4.4 and his wicket of Jos Butler is considered as the ball of the tournament.

Ravichandran Ashwin played the first match against Australia where he got 1 wicket in his 10 overs and gave away only 34 runs. Except for Virat, he is the only player in the squad who was in the 2011 World Cup winning team. Ishan Kishan also played starting matches and against Afghanistan he scored 47 runs.

South Africa (SA) Analysis:

This team has been known for their destruction in this World Cup. All the players in the team have shown great power hitting due to which when they batted first they generally posted 300+ runs on the board. Not only with their batting but also with the bowl they are lethal and make the batters helpless. They just need one win to make their seat confirm into the Semi Finals.

Temba Bavuma, the leader of the team has not seen as great a touch as other batsmen in the team. His highest score is 35 runs which was against Australia. He needs to be more steady with the shot selection.

His highest score was 133 runs which came in the last match against New Zealand. Aiden Markram has been destructive with the bat throughout the tournament. Marco Jansen is the team’s most successful bowler with 16 wickets in his pocket. He is taking wickets in each match and in the last two matches he got 3 wickets each. Most of the wickets came in the starting 10 overs in the tournament. Not only with the bat but also he can bat well as he scored a brilliant 75 runs against the defending champion in just 42 balls. Gerald Coetzee, the youngster from the team has taken 14 wickets till now. He is performing well but the only thing which needs to be in consideration is his economy which is 6.85.

Kagiso Rabada, one of the most experienced players in the squad has 11 wickets to his name. He is a ruthless bowler, previously bowling in the starting overs but now he is bowling in the middle overs and got wickets. His best performance was against Australia where he got 3 wickets by giving away just 33 runs in his 8 overs. Keshav Maharaj is the main spinner for the team with 11 wickets in the World Cup. His economy is 4.93 and can also bat well which he shows against Pakistan after hitting the winning boundary.

Lungi Ngidi, the pacer of the team has 7 wickets till now. His wing in the starting spell always disturbs the batsmen. Tabraiz Shami played just 2 matches and took 6 wickets. He was also player of the match against Pakistan for his brilliant 4 wickets.
