Virat Kohli century helped India win over Bangladesh

Virat Kohli scored a brilliant century which made an easy chase for the Indian team against the Bengal Tigers. They won the match by 7 wickets

With this victory they are having 4 wins in 4 matches with 8 points while Bangladesh are still having 2 points. 

Bangladesh scored 256/8 in 50 overs and in reply India chased down the target in just 41.3 overs and scored 261/3. 

After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first. Shakib Al Hasan did not play due to the injury therefore Najmul Hossain Shanto was appointed the captain.  

After a slow start by the Bengal openers they pulled up the score very fast and scored 93 for the first. Tanzid Hassan (51 runs) scored his first half century in international cricket. He showed the destruction as he played 43 balls and hit 5 fours and 3 sixes. Liton Das (66 runs) slammed his 2nd half century of the World Cup. He hit 7 boundaries in his 82 balls innings. 

Mushfiqur Rahim (38 runs) showed some good hands in the middle overs and in the death overs Mahmudullah (46 runs) played some firing shots due to which Bangladesh scored 256 runs in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets. 

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja got 2 wickets each. Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur got 1 wicket each. 

During the chase Indian openers Rohit Sharma (48 runs) and Shubman Gill (53 runs) batted brilliantly and made a partnership of 88 runs. Rohit missed his 3rd consecutive half century while Gill hit his maiden half century in the World Cup

Virat Kohli (103 runs not out) played beautifully from the start of his innings. He slammed his 78th international century. It was also his 3rd century in the World Cup and 1st one during the chase. He hit 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He along with KL Rahul (34 runs not out) finished the chase easily and scored 261 runs in just 41.3 overs by losing 3 wickets. 
Mehidy Hasan Miraz got 2 wickets while Hasan Mahmud got 1 wicket.
