Match 19: RCB vs RR | Full Analysis | Pitch Report | Best 11

The 19th match of the tournament between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).

Teams Analysis:

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB):

The team is yet to find their winning track. They have won 1 while losing 3 matches till now. They lost their last match, as LSG showed a full all-round performance and beat them by 28 runs. One of the main headaches for the team is their bowling line-up. This question is a main cause for this team from the past several times. They lost 2 out of their 3 home matches till now.

Virat Kohli is looking fantastic with his batting again and grabbed the orange cap as he scored 203 runs in 4 matches. He hit 2 half-centeries till now and is the only player in the team who scored 50+ in this season. Skipper faf du Plessis started the innings with some destructive batting against CSK as he scored 35 runs in 23 balls, but after that he has scored just 3, 8 and 19 runs in next three matches.

Glenn Maxwell is well known for his power hitting but in this season he got more success in bowling as compared to that to his batting. He got 4 wickets till now and with an economy of 7.38. Maxwell has 2 ducks, 3 and 28 runs with the bat. He misses that spark in his batting and needs to be more effective in this department. Cameron Green, the other Aussies, didn’t show any influential performance till now. He scored 63 runs and had taken 2 wickets till now.

Dinesh Karthik has played some destructive knocks towards the death overs. He has 90 runs till now in his pocket and is 2nd highest scorer in the team in this season. He is batting with a strike rate of 173.08. Anuj Rawat also got a brilliant start against CSK as he got 48 runs with the bat but after that he got 11, 3 and 11 runs.

The team’s bowling lineup has been seen up to their weakest point again. Their star bowler Mohammad Siraj has got 3 wickets with a whooping economy of 10.47. Especially in the death overs the team is conceding many runs and is having one of the worst economies among the teams in this IPL.

Yash Dayal has shown little satisfaction in terms of pace attack. He took 1 wicket in each match and has an economy of 8.07. Mayank Dagar and Alzarri Joseph also conceded many runs. Joseph has an economy of 11.9 till now.

Probable playing 11 for the match:

Faf du Plessis ©, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Anuj Rawat (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Mayank Dagar, Reece Topley, Mohammad Siraj, Yash Dayal.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):

Second team in this season who is undefeated. The collective performance of the team is getting better day by day. The team’s bowling has been brilliant as compared to that of their batting. They won 2 out of 3 while defending as during the chase they won their last encounter which was against MI and got their hattrick win by defeating them by 6 wickets.

Openers of Rajasthan haven’t delivered much. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Butler, both of them didn’t score cross 30+ marks in this season. They need to step up again and provide some valuable runs at the start.

Skipper Sanju Samson though didn’t get much with the bat in the last 2 matches but in the first match he got a brilliant unbeaten 82 runs, due to which his team was able to get close to 200. But the team’s main asset has to be Riyan Parag. He was promoted up in the order and he performed accordingly. Till now he has 181 runs in 3 matches with a strike rate of 160.17. In the last two matches he scored 50+ runs. Also is 2nd in the list of orange cap holder.

Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer didn’t show any influential role till now but carries the capacity to change the run-rate up anytime.

Yuzvendra Chahal has again bowled brilliantly for his team. He has taken 6 wickets till now and is in contention for the purple cap. In the last match against Mumbai he got 3 wickets by giving away just 11 runs in his 4 overs. His economy has been brilliant till now, as he carries 5.5 till now.

Their left-handed pacers Trent Boult and Nandre Burger have taken 5 wickets each till now. Especially Boult who delivered some run saving spells in the death overs.

Probably playing 11 for the Match:

Sanju Samson (c/wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Butler, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Nandre Burger, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan.
