The 17th match of the tournament between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).

Teams Analysis:

Gujarat Titans (GT):

Under the new leadership the team has performed well till now. They are currently standing in 5th position with 2 wins and one loss in 3 matches. In both of their wins, their bowling department has been excellent. In their last match, where they stopped the destructive SRH and beat them by 7 wickets.

Captain Shubham Gill has scored 75 runs in 3 matches with a strike rate of 136.36. He is yet to score a 50+ knock. He has created many runs in Ahmedabad and wanted to deliver again in this pitch. On the other hand his partner Wriddhiman Saha, always got a furious start and bashed the bowlers in every part of the ground but unable to take his knock to a big one and got out.

Sai Sudharsan has scored 127 runs in 3 matches and is leading the team in runs department. He has got two 40s and one 30s under his belt and missed his 50s just by certain runs. He is a definite source for the team to provide runs. David Miller played a fantastic knock of unbeaten 44 runs against Hyderabad in the last match and took his team to the victory.

Mohit Sharma is leading the team in terms of wickets in this season. He grabbed 6 wickets till now and is definitely looking for more in further matches. Rashid Khan didn’t look too great with the spells as he got just 3 wickets with an economy of 8.75. But he has capacity to deliver with the bowl and also with the bat as he already did in previous seasons for the team.

Umesh Yadav conceded many runs since he has an economy of 10.75 in 3 matches. Azmatullah Omarzai has the ability to hit large and can get wickets also. In the 3 matches he scored only 28 runs and took 3 wickets with an economy of 9.

Punjab Kings (PBKS):

Started the season with a great win against DC but after then they seemed to be little out of line. Losing two back to back matches took them to the 8th position. In their last match, they were easily thrown away from Lucknow as they lost the match by 21 runs.

Skipper Shikhar Dhawan is leading in terms of runs also. He scored 137 runs in 3 matches. In the last match against LSG, he credited 70 runs to his account. Jonny Bairstow on the other hand got some healthy runs with the bat and scored 42 runs in 29 balls. After some disappointing starts with the bat he looked to get back his rhythm and striking well.

Sam Curran after a solid start to the season where he scored brilliant 63 runs with the bat against DC and then in the next two matches he just got 23 & 0. But with the bowl he was fantastic in the last match as he got 3 wickets. Liam Livingstone has yet to deliver a big knock. He has scored 38*, 17 & 28*. He has the ability to get big and score fast runs especially in the death overs.

Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma are still to make a sound innings.

Kagiso Rabada has got 4 wickets till now with an economy of 8.08. He bowled brilliantly against RCB as he got 2 wickets by giving away just 23 runs in his 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh has taken 4 wickets in 3 matches and has an economy of 9.48. He started pretty well but conceded many runs in the death overs.

Harpreet Brar bowled fantastically as he had an economy of 4.56 in 3 matches and also got 3 wickets. He is delivering in any kind of pitches and will once again provide helpful bowling. Harshal Patel though got 3 wickets but had a very poor economy of 11.42. He also gave away easy runs in the death overs to the opposition.
