GT tactical brilliance secured clinical win over SRH

Gujarat Titans (GT) performed well in both the departments due to which they registered a clinical win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets.

Hyderabad scored 162/8 in 20 overs and Gujarat chased down the target in 19.1 overs and scored 168/3.

Titans in their last encounter got a heavy defeat against CSK by 63 runs whereas on the other hand Sunrisers posted a record breaking total in the history of IPL against MI and won the match by 31 runs in their match.

In this match, Sunrisers skipper Pat Cummins after winning the toss goes for batting.

Hyderabad players were unable to put up big partnerships from the start. The wickets fell at regular intervals and as a result they were unable to post a big score despite having one of the most destructive sides in this season.

Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad were the highest scorers from the side as they both scored 29 runs. The beast Heinrich Klaasen was just able to score 24 runs in his 13 balls knock and hit 1 four and 2 sixes.

Titans bowlers were spectacular as they didn’t allow the batsmen to get set especially Mohit Sharma who showed his experience and got 3 wickets by giving away only 25 runs in his 4 overs. Rashid Khan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Noor Ahmed and Umesh Yadav got 1 wicket each.

In the chase, skipper Shubman Gill (36 runs) again gave his team a solid start. Then Sai Sudharsan (45 runs) again showed his consistency but again he was unable to score his half-century. Then in the end, David Miller (44 runs not out) took the match for the team. Miller played 27 balls which includes 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Pat Cummins, Mayank Markande and Shahbaz Ahmed got 1 wicket each.
