Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has announced the replacement for the Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The 16-year old youngster Allah Ghazanfar from Rajasthan took his place.
Mujeeb is recovering from a right phalanx sprain in his hand which he sustained it from in the series against Sri Lanka in February 2024. Ghazanfar was picked by the franchise at a base price of 20 lakhs.
The young lad has played 3 T20 matches in which he got 5 wickets.
Knight Riders on the other hand had played one match which was against PBKS, where they managed to win in the close encounter by 4 runs. Now they will meet RCB on Friday evening at Chinnaswamy stadium. A much awaited encounter between Kohli and Gambhir.
