Jos Buttler’s bravery turns the wave for RR

Jos Buttler’s another ton helped Rajasthan Royals (RR) to defeat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 2 wickets. It was also Kolkata’s first defeat in their home. 

Knight Riders scored 223/6 in 20 overs and in reply Royals got the victory in the last ball and scored 224/8 in 20 overs. 

Kolkata won their last encounter which was against LSG where their full domination was seen against Lucknow while Rajasthan got a close call win against PBKS in the last moments in their last match.

After winning the toss, Sanju Samson invited the Knight Riders to bat. 

Sunil Narine just the show stopper for the day for Kolkata after scoring his maiden century. He scored 109 runs in 56 balls in which 13 fours and 6 sixes were included. He was totally brutal and his strike rate was 194.64. 

Angkrish Raghuvanshi also supported him from the other end as he got 30 runs under his credit. Both of them added 75 runs for the 2nd wicket. Then Rinku Singh with his hard hitting took the team score 200 par. He scored unbeaten 20 runs in 9 balls and hit 1 four and 2 sixes. 

Kuldeep Sen and Avesh Khan got 2 wickets each while Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal got 1 wicket each. 

During the chase, Royals lost two wickets in just 47 runs. But Jos Buttler had some other plans. He took the team out from danger and scored the 2nd century in this season. He scored unbeaten 107 runs in 60 balls and took his team to victory. He hit 9 fours and 6 sixes in his knock. 

He was supported well by first Riyan Parag (34 runs) and then Rovman Powell (26 runs). At the end, due to Butler’s bravery they registered the win. 

Sunil Narine here in this department also shines as he got 2 wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana also got 2 wickets each while Vaibhav Arora got 1 wicket.
