Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continued their winning streak after defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 20 runs. Mumbai missed their chance of a hattrick win.
Super Kings scored 206/4 in 20 overs and Mumbai got down 186/6 in 20 overs.
Mumbai got back into their winning track and won back to back two matches. In their last victory they just demolished the whole RCB bowling line up. On the other hand, Chennai also registered their one sided domination against KKR in their last encounter.

The skipper of yellow jersey Ruturaj Gaikwad scored back to back half-century. He scored 69 runs for which he took 40 balls and hit 5 fours and 5 sixes. It is also a positive one as till now in this season he was struggling a little with the strike rate but here he batted with 172.50.
He along with Shivam Dube added 90 runs for the 3rd wicket. Dube maintained his consistency and scored unbeaten 66 runs in 38 balls. In his knock he hit 10 fours and 2 sixes. But it was magical MS Dhoni whose 20 runs in 4 balls got the team score ar 200. In his special cameo he hit 3 sixes and got not out.
Pandya got 2 wickets while Shreyas Gopal and Gerald Coetzee got 1 wicket each.
As the asking rate was above 10 for chasing, Mumbai started the same way. The openers posted 70 runs in 7 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 23 runs but Rohit Sharma got more brutal in his batting as he scored unbeaten 105 runs in 63 balls. He hit 11 fours and 5 sixes in his knock and with these sixes he completed the 500 mark in T20 cricket.
Tilak Varma also accompanied him well as both added 60 runs for the 3rd wicket. Tilak scored 31 in 20 balls and hit 5 boundaries. But unfortunately Rohit’s lone war couldn’t help the team from the defeat.
Matheesha Pathirana performed a spectacular spell as he got 4 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 28 runs. Tushar Deshpande and Mustafizur Rahman got 1 wicket each.
