Teams Analysis:

Mumbai Indians (MI):

Despite having one of the strongest teams in this season, they are currently standing at the bottom of the table with 6 points in 11 matches. They won 3 while losing 8 in which 4 they lost in their last four encounters. Only a few players are performing and the rest are unable to perform well till now. A combined team effort is missing from the team.

Rohit Sharma started the season with some great knocks but in the last 5 knocks he failed to get a good score. He has 326 runs to his credit in which he hit a century which came against CSK. He is a hard hitter of the ball but mostly got put in the powerplay in the last 4 innings. Ishan Kishan has shown major disappointment with the bat as he got past 50+ just once which was against RCB and after that he couldn’t capitalize it well. As a result he managed only 257 runs.

Tilak Varma is the highest scorer of the team and has shown a little consistency in terms of runs with the bat. He scored three half-centuries till now with the total runs of 347. His strike rate is also 150 par. Suryakumar Yadav played a solid knock against KKR in the last match and till the time he was there in the crease was looking for an easy victory but after his departure the remaining players went to the pavilion suddenly. His strike rate is 168.12 in which he hit three 50+ knocks and has scored 232 runs in 8 innings.

Tim David, the finisher of the team, has scored some healthy runs with the bat in the death overs but was unable to maintain his consistency. As a result he is yet to score a half-century in the tournament. He has 241 runs scored with the highest being 45. Team’s skipper Hardik Pandya has got little success in his bowling but with the bat he is drastically bad. He got only 198 runs with the bat and with the bowl he got 8 wickets in 11 innings.

Jasprit Bumrah has been phenomenal with the bowl as he has taken 17 wickets to his pocket and is currently the holder of purple ca. His economy is also brilliant, which touches 6.25. His dedication is on another level and batsmen find him difficult to play. Gerald Coetzee has also been in helping hand with him as he took 13 wickets till now. The only thing which needs to concentrate is his economy which is 10.18.

Remaining bowlers Piyush Chawla, Nuwan Thushara and Naman Dhir have been inconsistent with the bowl, most of the time.

Probable playing 11 for the match:

Hardik Pandya ©, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir, Gerald Coetzee, Piyush Chawla, Jasprit Bumrah, Nuwan Thushara.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

They are currently in the 4th position in 10 matches in which they won 6 and lost 4. They are having a huge line up of destructive batters and each of them playing the way for which they are known for. Their bowling is little weak in comparison to their batting, but in the last match against RR they registered a close win of 1 run in which the bowlers shine in the last three overs.

Travis Head is their run-scorer in this match with 396 runs in 9 innings. He has a strike rate of 194.12 and has hit one century and three half-centuries. Most of the times he gave a destructive start to the team but he is highly successful when the team batted first, in the 2nd innings he is yet to get past 40+. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma is the most powerful hitter of the team as he carries the strike rate of 208.61. He mostly started well but got past 50 just once. He needs to work little on the conversion.

Heinrich Klaasen is not less than a beast when he starts hitting the ball generally seen outside the ground. His strike rate is 189.33 and has scored 337 runs which includes three half-centuries. He is mostly consistent with the bat and an asset to the team in the 2nd innings. Aiden Markram has some struggles with the bat as he is not able to score much except against CSK where he got 50 runs. He only manages 199 runs in 9 innings with a strike rate of 130.92.

Nitish Kumar Reddy gave stability to the team for his contribution in the middle order. He played a valuable knock against RR where he scored unbeaten 76 runs and put his team to a strong position. Till now with two half-centuries he scored 219 runs with an average of 54.75. He took 3 wickets in his bowling. Shahbaz Ahmed and Abdul Samad performed decently in the death overs till now.

Skipper Pat Cummins has taken 12 wickets in this season till now with an economy of 9.05. At the start of the season he was mostly economical in the spells but with the further proceedings he was little expensive but also took wickets when it required most for the team. T Natarajan is the team’s highest wicket taker with 15 to his name. He has the best economy in the team with 8.97. He is currently in the 2nd position in the purple cap list.

Bhuvneshawar Kumar though is mostly expensive in his spells but his spell in the last match against RR, took the match for the team and especially in the last ball in which he dismissed Rovman Powell and named the victory for the team by 1 run. Due to his brilliant bowling, he was awarded as Player of the Match.
