Pakistan (PAK) Analysis:

One of the most consistent teams that was into the semi final was this team. But they lost you matches in the middle which made it hard to qualify into the next round. Now they have to play their last match and to make it into the next round they have to win by a huge margin which is quite impossible for them. It will be a do or die match for them.

Abdullah Shafique is a brilliant opener  from the side and he shows that he can bat well in the opening. Till now scored 336 runs which include one century at three half centuries with their average close to 49. His highest score was 113 runs against Sri Lanka in the very first match he played in the World Cup. Fakhar Zaman  is playing brilliantly with his aggressive approach. He fulfilled the gap that Pakistan lacks in this  tournament. He made a brilliant come back after his poor performances in the recent past. His brilliant century against New Zealand Put them in an advantageous position.

Babar Azam the leader of the team has got 282 runs in the tournament which includes four half centuries. He is a consistent  performer from the team and after starting with some low he finally gets his rhythm back. Mohammad Rizwan started the tournament very well but after the mid phase passes he was unable to score many runs with the bat. He scored 359 runs which includes one century and one half century. His highest score was against Sri Lanka where he took his team to an invincible when and scored 131 runs.

Saud Shakeel scored 212 runs and hit two half centuries. His highest score was against Netherlands where he scored 68 runs. But after that he couldn’t justify his batting much as he got some couple of 30’s but could not convert them into a big one. Iftikhar Ahmed, one of the well known hitters from his team, couldn’t show his aggressiveness in this tournament. The only thing the team benefited from him in this World Cup was his bowling where he provided some economical spells and put the opposition under pressure for sometime.  

Agha Salman played in the last two matches but couldn’t show any significance with his performance. He just got to bowl only 2 hours and there he gave 21 runs. Shadab Khan, one of the best all rounders in the team, was struggling in both the departments.  With his batting he got a couple of parties but was unable to convert them into a big one and with the ball he took only four wickets in the tournament. Mohammad Nawaz, better known for his destructive approach but he failed in this tournament most of the time and got out early and with the ball he was mostly expensive in his spell and unable to get wickets easily. 

Shaheen Afridi, the team’s most dependable bowler has taken 16 wickets in the tournament till now and was mostly seen consistent with his bowling. But his last match was against New Zealand where he conceded 90 runs in 10 overs and went wicketless. Haris Rauf, one of the super star  Pacer from the team has taken 13 wickets till now but his economy is 6.8 which is way more than the other bowlers in this tournament. He gave an easy run to the opponents and made it for the other bowlers too.

Mohammad Wasim Junior has taken 8 wickets in his three Matches and provided consistency in terms of death overs. He has been brilliant in his three matches and got wicked when the team needed the most. Hasan Ali started the world cup pretty well but he gave away easy runs as the tournament went on and conceded too many runs.

England (ENG) Analysis:

The defending champion didn’t perform up to the mark. Their batting was mostly helpless in most of the matches and their bowling got little well towards the end of the tournament. They were seen struggling in most of the matches which resulted in losing them. Now to make their chances brighter in the Champions Trophy they have to get in top 8.

Dawid Malan scored the most runs for his team and made 373 runs in the world cup. He hit one century and two half centuries in the tournament and those 50’s came in the last two matches. Johnny Bairstow didn’t put a run in the starting and got out early most of the time. He just hit a single 50 which came against Bangladesh and in the remaining matches he couldn’t stick to the pitch. 

Joe Root started the tournament with back to back to 50’s but after that he lost that consistency and got out early. He is one of the most predominant batsmen in the team but that couldn’t show in this tournament. Ben Stokes batted brilliantly in the last two matches and his last match against Netherlands where he scored a brilliant 108 runs and put his team in a strong position.  

Jos Butler the leader of the team and he couldn’t perform well in this tournament till now. He also didn’t score a single 50 till now and his highest score was 43 runs which he scored against New Zealand in the very first match. Moeen Ali neither performed well with his batting nor did he with his bowling. He was considered to be the crucial role player in the middle of  innings but that didn’t come in this tournament.  

Liam Livingstone the hard hitter of the team for which he is known for but here in this he couldn’t show his aggressiveness with his batting. He can blast some runs in the death overs but gets out early most of the time. Harry Brook Played his best performance in this tournament against Afghanistan where he scored 66 runs but in his remaining matches he couldn’t show up pretty much.

Chris Woakes is a brilliant all rounder from his team. With the bat he couldn’t show up much but did better brilliantly against Netherlands in the last match where he scored 51 runs. With his bowling he took nine wickets and showed some consistency in the last few matches. Adil Rashid is the only bowler in the team who shows consistency with his bowling as he took 13 wickets in the World Cup and most of the time he got some wickets. 

Mark Wood, the speed star of the team, has taken 7 wickets in the tournament and was mostly expensive in his spells. David Willey grabbed seven wickets in the tournament till now and was consistent in his last few Matches and also can bat well. Gus Atkinson played only two matches but showed a brilliant performance against South Africa where he got 2 wickets and also added 35 valuable runs to his team in the end.
