Teams Analysis:

Punjab Kings (PBKS):

This team is currently standing at 6th spot with 4 points in 4 matches. They won two and lost two. After losing two back to back matches they clinched a great victory from the mouth of GT by 3 wickets. The team is performing decently till now, but the collective performance is still missing.

The skipper Shikhar Dhawan is looking in good touch with the bat and scored the most runs for the team in this season. He scored 138 runs in 4 matches with a strike rate of 131.43. His highest score is 70 runs which came against LSG and gave his team a dominant start. Jonny Bairstow hasn’t yet performed better with the bat. He scored just 81 runs in 4 matches and his best was against LSG where he got 42 runs.

Shashank Singh, the new sensation in the IPL has been excellent in the last match. His unbeaten 61 runs in just 29 balls gave the team an unexpected victory against GT. Till now he scored 91 runs with a fantastic strike rate of 202.22. In 4 of the matches he was unbeaten in 3 matches. He is batting with an average of 91.

Sam Curran was brilliant in the first match which was against DC where he scored 63 runs. But after that he was not able to bat well with scores like 23, 0 and 5. With the bowl he got 4 wickets with an economy of 8.6. His best was also against LSG where he got 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away 28 runs. Liam Livingstone, the destructive batsman from the side still didn’t get his power hitting in the death overs. He is yet to score a 50+ score and his highest is 38 runs.

Sikander Raza played in the last match but got out after scoring 15 runs in 16 balls.

Kagiso Rabada has taken most wickets for the team. He has taken 6 wickets till now but conceded many runs especially in the death overs and as a result his economy is 8.81. Harpreet Brar has taken 4 wickets but his economy is fantastic as he got 5.69 in 4 matches.

Arshdeep Singh, team’s frontline bowler has taken 4 wickets till now but throws away runs easily in his spell as he has economy of 9.14. Harshal Patel though took 4 wickets till now but conceded runs in each match. In his 4 matches he gave 47, 45, 45 and 44 runs in his 4 over spells.
