The 18th match of the tournament between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).

Teams Analysis:

Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

The most successful franchise in the IPL has started their journey with two back to back victories. But missed the hattrick chance in their last encounter when Delhi registered their first victory in this IPL after defeating men in yellow by 20 runs.

Rachin Ravindra is looking in a beast roleplay. When he came to bat he just started bashing all over the ground. He has a strike rate of 180.85. He missed the hitting in the last match against Delhi when he scored 2 runs in 12 balls. In the other two matches he scored 37 in 15 and 46 in 20 balls. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has delivered so much with the bat. Only against Gujarat he looked a little solid as he scored 46 runs but in the other matches couldn’t impress much.

Shivam Dube has currently scored most runs for the teams in this season as he got 103 runs under his belt. His best in this IPL was against Gujarat where he got 51 runs credited to this team. Ajinkya Rahane’s performance has been little bit better as he scored 27, 12 and 45 runs. He has shown a lot of capability to take the charge and can strike easily.

Ravindra Jadeja performed average till now. With the bat he scored 53 runs in which he got not out in 2 matches while with the bowl he got just 1 wickets in 3 matches with an economy of 7.9. After two matches MS Dhoni batted in the last match and showed the real beast in the death overs as he got 37 runs in just 16 balls.

Mustafizur Rahman will not be seen in the playing 11 as he went to USA for a visa as the T20 World Cup will be there in West Indies and USA from June, hence he will not participate in this encounter.

Matheesha Pathirana after missing the first match was brilliant in the remaining two matches where he got 5 wickets till now. His economy is under 8 and is highly useful in the death overs. Deepak Chahar on the other hand has conceded easy runs during the powerplay but in the middle overs he provided some economical overs.

Tushar Despande has also been seen in touch as his economy is also under 8 and makes it more dangerous in the powerplay.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

Despite registering themselves as the most destructive batting line-up in this IPL, they are at 7th spot with 2 points. They lost 2 and won in 3 matches. In their last match also they got an easy defeat against GT by 7 wickets. Their main problem is their bowling line up where they concede easy runs to the opposition.

Travis Head has scored 81 runs in 2 matches with a strike rate of 213.16. He gave his team a destructive start from the beginning and is highly aggressive during the powerplay. On the other hand, his partner Mayank Agarwal is still to find his rhythm. He has got 32, 11  & 16 runs till now.

Abhishek Sharma has also proved his worth who can bat in any position. He has scored 124 runs with a strike rate of 200 which includes a brilliant half-century of 63 runs against MI. In that match he registered the fastest half-century for Hyderabad in IPL. Heinrich Klaasen is a true beast for the team who can strike from any over. He scored 167 runs with a healthy strike rate of 219.74. He hit 2 half-centuries in 3 matches.

Aiden Samad has not been so good with the bat till now except against MI where he scored unbeaten 42 runs. Abdul Samad also threw some spark at his batting in the last match as he got 29 runs in just 14 balls.

Looking at their bowling unit, only skipper Pat Cummins has economy under 8. Rest all of them having high spells. He also got most wickets for the team as he had taken 4 till now. T Natarajan has an injury due to which he is again set to miss the upcoming match.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a destructive season going till now as his economy is 10.92 and has been wicketless. Jaydev Unadkat has taken 2 wickets with an economy of 11.16. Marco Jansen might also be considered again in this match.
