Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered their first victory of this season and it came against Punjab Kings (PBKS) as they won it by 21 runs.
Super Giants scored 199/8 in 20 overs and in reply Kings posted 178/5 in 20 overs.
Both the teams lost their last encounter. Lucknow lost against RR by 20 runs while Punjab lost against RCB by 4 wickets.
As the nature of this pitch, Super Giants after winning the toss goes for batting. Nicholas Pooran got the leadership as KL Rahul was the impact player. The decision was taken since Rahul came from the injury and no further mishap can occur and can play the whole season and upcoming T20 World Cup.

As the required run-rate was 10 per over and Punjab got the perfect start that they wanted. Shikhar Dhawan (70 runs) and Jonny Bairstow (42 runs) posted 102 runs in 12 overs.
After the first wicket fell, the team suddenly went back to the backfoot. They start losing wickets and suddenly the match comes out of their hands. Liam Livingstone (28 runs not out) showed some fireworks towards the end, it was too late for the team.
Mayank Yadav bowled the fastest delivery (155.8 kmph) in this IPL till now and also got 3 wickets. Mohsin Khan got 2 wickets.
