India’s T20 World Cup squad unveiled

India revealed their 15 members for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma will be leading the team while Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of the team.

Pant, Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal are the players who will witness the ICC tournament after a long time. Pant will be seen on the national side after more than one and a half years. He last played against Bangladesh on December 22, 2022. In this TATA IPL 2024 he has been excellent with the bat as he scored 398 runs in 11 matches till now with a strike rate of 158.56.

Samson was in and out of the team for a long time and as a result he didn’t play many international matches. But his consistency in the domestic matches and especially in this season of IPL where he scored 389 runs with an average of 77, makes his name into the list and as a second wicket keeper.

Chahal is highly showing his performance in the IPL where he is constantly taking wickets. Due to his consistency he again got the call for the upcoming ICC tournament. In his IPL also he took 13 wickets, which is currently the most by a spinner till now.

One of the surprising kick outs was KL Rahul, who was seen performing well in the T20 format as well in the ODIs. he was highly considerable for the squad but unfortunately he couldn’t make it into the 15s.

They are the 4th team in the list of T20 squad announcements. Earlier New Zealand, South Africa and England shortlisted their 15 members.
