India’s hardship was exposed on Day 2

A fighting day for India on the 2nd day of the 4th test. England got all out in 353 runs and in reply India lost 7 wickets after scoring 219 runs at the end of the day. They are currently 134 runs behind. 

The English team started the day with their day 1 score and Joe Root (122 runs not out) and Ollie Robinson (58 runs) contributed 102 runs for the 8th wicket. Robinson scored his maiden half-century whereas Root remained unbeaten. Joe hit 10 boundaries in his inning and played 274 balls. 

Ravindra Jadeja got 4 wickets while Akash Deep settled with 3 wickets. Mohammad Siraj got 2 wickets and Ashwin got 1 wicket. 

India in their 1st innings lost wickets at regular intervals. Yashasvi Jaiswal (73 runs) again played a solid knock but missed the century by a few runs. He hit 8 fours and 1 six in his knock. Shubman Gill (38 runs) again failed to convert his innings into a big one.

At the end of the day Dhruv Jurel (30 runs not out) and Kuldeep Yadav (17 runs not out) were there in the crease. Jurel played 58 balls whereas Kuldeep played 72 balls till now. 

Shoaib Bashir got 4 wickets where Tom Hartley grabbed 2 wickets. James Anderson got 1 wicket.
