GT left for Tatters after RCB’s blistering batting

A dominating batting performance again showed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as they defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 9 wickets. This win keeps their hope alive for the playoffs. 

Titans scored 200/3 in 20 overs and Challengers won the challenge easily in 16 overs and scored 206/1. 

It is Bengaluru’s back to back win as they won their last encounter which was against SRH whereas it is Gujarat’s back to back defeat as they lost their last encounter against DC

After winning the toss, Faf du Plessis chooses to bowl first. 

Gujarat lost both their openers in 45 runs and was looking on little back foot. But the consistent performer in the team B Sai Sudharsan again played a fantastic knock of 84 runs and remained unbeaten till the end. In his 49 balls knock he hit 8 fours and 4 sixes. 

He was well supported by Shahrukh Khan who scored his maiden IPL half-century after scoring 58 runs in 30 balls, which includes 3 fours and 5 sixes. Both of them added 86 runs for the 3rd wicket. In the end, David Miller also contributed some healthy runs as he added 26 runs in 19 balls. 

Mohammad Siraj, Swapnil Singh and Glenn Maxwell got 1 wicket each. 

In the chase, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave the team a solid start as they together added 40 runs to the team. But it was Virat and Will Jacks partnership who took the match one sided. Both of them added 166 runs for the 2nd wicket. 

Jacks scored his maiden IPL century in just 41 balls. He scored unbeaten 100 runs and hit 5 fours and 10 long sixes. On the other hand, Kohli continued his brilliant form and this time he got 70 runs in 44 balls in which he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes.

R Sai Kishore got the only wicket for Titans.
