CSK survives Playoff hopes with a miraculous win

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a 5 wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) to maintain their hopes for the Playoffs. 

Royals scored 141/5 in 20 overs and in reply Chennai chased down the target in 18.2 overs and scored 145/5. It was also Rajasthan’s hattrick defeat in this season for the first time. 

Both the teams got defeated in their last encounter, Chennai got against GT while Rajasthan got against DC

Rajasthan, after winning the toss, chooses to bat first. 

A little slow start for the men in Pink as they only managed 41 runs in the Powerplay. Riyan Parag topped the chart for the team with highest score in this match after getting 47 runs with the bat. He took 35 balls and remained unbeaten till the end and hit one four and 3 sixes. 

Towards the end, Dhruv Jurel also showed some hand with the bat and scored 28 runs in 18 balls. 

Simarjeet Singh was brilliant in his spell as he got 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away 26 runs. Tushar Deshpande got 2 wickets. 

In the chase, Chennai also started a little slow but slowly they chased down the target successfully. Ruturaj Gaikwad topped the scoring chart with unbeaten 42 runs in 41 balls. Rachin Ravindra played aggressive at the start as he scored 27 runs in 18 balls. 

Sameer Rizvi towards the end took the winning shot and maintained the Playoffs hopes. 

Ravichandran Ashwin got 2 wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal and Nandre Burger got 1 wicket each.
