BCCI Shocking Hit with Virat Kohli’s Unexpected Absence

Since Virat Kohli is out of the ground since January as he last played the T20 series against Afghanistan. He was opted in the England series but requested the board to leave him out due to personal reasons and the board accepted his request.  

Now as the T20 World Cup approaches, many fans and followers are keen to know about the presence of Kohli in the T20 World Cup and also about his absence from the recent test series. To this question the BCCI secretary Mr Jay Shah during a recent event in Rajkot he revealed, 

“If a person, for the first time in a 15-year career, asks for personal leave, it’s his right. Virat is not a player who will ask for leave for no reason. We need to trust our player and back him.” 

Regarding the T20 World Cup he added that they will talk to him about that. 

Mr Shah not only revealed about Virat but also confirmed the news that Rohit Sharma will be leading team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Also he added that Rahul Dravid will be the coach at least till the T20 World Cup which is going to happen in West Indies and USA and the further will be extended after talking with him.
