Suryakumar Yadav once again proved his worth for playing a match winning knock and took the match in Mumbai Indians (MI) favour. Men in blue defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets.
Sunrisers scored 173/8 in 20 overs and Mumbai in reply chased down the target easily 17.2 overs and scored 174/3.
In their previous encounter, with the help of destructive Heinrich Klaasen’s knock Hyderabad then recorded the highest score in the history of IPL and won the match.

Travis Head played the way for which he is known for and scored 48 runs in 30 balls, where he hit 7 fours and a six. The team was unable to get some strong partnerships as a result wickets fell one after the other.
But skipper Pat Cummins showed the power of hard hitting and scored brilliant 35 runs in just 17 balls. He remained unbeaten till the end and batted with a strike rate of 205.88 in which 2 fours and 2 sixes were included. Due to his knock the team got past 170 mark.
Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla both got 3 wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah and Anshul Kamboj got 1 wicket each.
The men in blue were in trouble at the start as they lost 3 wickets in just 31 runs. But then the sky becomes more bluish after Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant century. He scored unbeaten 102 runs in 51 balls in which 12 fours and 6 sixes were included.
He along with Tilak Varma contributed a match winning partnership of 143 runs. Tilak scored unbeaten 37 runs in 32 balls. Surya was the anchor in that partnership and with a six he completed his century and won the match for the team.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen and Pat Cummins got 1 wicket each.
