Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant performance got Chennai Super Kings (CSK) a great victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 28 runs. With this win, Chennai ended the 5 matches winning streak of Punjab’s against him.
Super Kings scored 167/9 in 20 overs and in reply Kings posted 139/9 in 20 overs.
In their previous encounter where both the teams met against each other, Punjab got a clinical win over Chennai.

Ravindra Jadeja was the top scorer with 43 runs. He played 26 balls in which he hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. Due to his knock they got close to 170, unless it was looking tough for them as they hardly managed to get a good partnerships.
Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (32 runs) and Daryl Mitchell (30 runs) got the highest partnership for the match which was 57 runs. MS Dhoni got out on a zero for the first time in this season.
Bowling was brilliant form Punjab. Rahul Chahar once again shone with the ball and took 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 23 runs. Harshal Patel got 3 wickets and with this he got the purple cap along with Jasprit Bumrah with 17 wickets. Arshdeep Singh got 2 wickets while Sam Curran got 1 wicket.
In the chase, Kings struggled heavily as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Due to wicket fall one after the other there were no big partnerships till the end and as a result they lost the match.
Prabhsimran Singh was the highest scorer with 30 runs while Shashank Singh scored 27.
The men in yellow were brilliant in the bowling department by restricting them to a below par score. Jadeja topped here also with 3 wickets to his credit in his 4 overs and he only gave 20 runs. Simrarjeet Singh and Tushar Deshpande got 2 wickets each while Mitchell Santner and Shardul Thakur got 1 wicket each.
