The 26th match of the tournament between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).
Teams Analysis:
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):
Lucknow has been in top notch form after completing their hattrick of win. They are consistent in both batting and bowling. Their hattrick win came when Yash Thakur provided a magical spell and demolished GT’s whole team. They are currently in 3rd position with 6 points in 4 matches. They lost 1 and won 3.
KL Rahul is providing runs with the bat but his strike rate has declined little bit from previous. He scored 126 runs in which 1 half-century was included and that came against RR where he scored 58 runs. His strike rate is 128.57. Quinton de Kock is looking in best of his form providing 145 runs till now which includes two 50+ scores. In a slow pitch like Lucknow he batted well here.
Nicholas Pooran is looking at his batting and scored most runs for his team in this season till now. He scored 178 runs with a healthy strike rate of 169.52. Out of 4 matches he was unbeaten 3 times and showed his destruction towards the death overs. Marcus Stoinis after upsetting the team in the first 3 matches, finally got his rhythm back and scored a brilliant 58 runs knock in the last match, where most of the batters struggled to bat.
Krunal Pandya is showing his consistency in the bowling department as he got 4 wickets and has an economy of only 5.5. In a slow pitch like Lucknow he has been fantastic with spells and in the last match he got 3 wickets by giving away only 11 runs in his 4 overs. Devdutt Padikkal wasn’t satisfied with his batting performance for his new franchise and he only scored 22 runs in 4 matches.
Yash Thakur was highly impressive in the last match as he credited his career best performance after grabbing 5 wickets in his 3.5 overs and giving 30 runs. Mayank Yadav bowled with his accurate pace and has taken 6 wickets till now. But he missed the last match due to niggle but he might again be seen in the playing 11.
Naveen-ul-Haq has taken 5 wickets till now but his economy is little on a higher side which is 9.32.
Probable playing 11 for the match:
KL Rahul (c/wk), Quinton de Kock, Devdutt Padikkal, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Yash Thakur, Naveen-ul-Haq, Mayank Yadav.

Delhi Capitals (DC):
A drastic season is going for the 2020 runners-up team. They won 1 out of 5 matches and lost 4. They are currently placed at the bottom of the table with 2 points and having a net run rate of -1.370. One of their weakest points till now has been their bowling as they concede many runs especially in the death overs. Their last defeat came when MI opened their victory account and won the match by 29 runs.
David Warner is getting a good start but was unable to convert that into a big one in most of the matches. He scored 158 runs till now with a strike rate of 142.34 which includes one half-century which he scored against CSK. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw is looking in good touch as he scored 119 runs in 3 matches with an average of 39.67. He scored his first half-century in this season in the last match where he scored 63 runs in just 40 balls.
Rishabh Pant is also scoring runs with the bat as he credited 153 runs with a strike rate of 154.55. He scored 2 half-centuries till now. His presence is still not making any affect to the team as the result is the same as in the previous season. Tristan Stubbs is making an impact as he scored 174 runs with a fantastic strike rate of 193.33. In the last match he showed his lethal form as he got 71 runs in 25 balls in which he hit 3 fours and 7 sixes and also remained unbeaten till the end.
Axar Patel is unable to show his class in batting as he only got 51 runs but with the bowl he has some decent spells and took 4 wickets till now with an economy of 7.44, which is best among the bowlers in the team this season. Kuldeep Yadav’s absence is still making the team’s bowling unit a little weak as he provides wicket when team needs the most. He might again miss this match due to the groin niggle.
Anrich Nortje though got 6 wickets but he was beaten brutally especially in the death overs as his economy is 13.44 in the 4 matches. In the last match he conceded 65 runs in his 4 overs. Khaleel Ahmed started the season pretty well but in the last two matches he conceded many runs. He got 7 wickets till now and is the most in the team with an economy of 8.5.
Probably playing 11 for the Match:
Rishabh Pant (c/wk), David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Abhishek Porel, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Jhye Richardson, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma.

Pitch Report:
This match will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Due to the slow nature of the pitch batsmen find it difficult to play shots easily while on the other hand bowlers find it quite easy to bowl. It gets slow as the match progresses therefore making it hard to bat. Batting first might be a good option here after winning the toss.

But in the daytime the temperature might be on a higher side as it will go up by 38 degree celsius while it will go down to 21 degree celsius at night. Best 11 for the Match:
Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, Nicholas Pooran, David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Tristan Stubbs, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Krunal Pandya, Yash Thakur, Khaleel Ahmed.
