Virat Kohli will create a milestone, and will feature in his 500th match.

Virat Kohli an iconic player who will play his 500th international match. He is one of those whom people admire not only in the national circuit but also throughout the world. He will be the 4th Indian to play 500 matches for the country. Sachin Tendulakar played the most number of matches in the world and he played 664 matches. MS Dhoni comes next who plays 538 matches and 3rd one is Rahul Dravid who plays 509 international matches. 

Virat Kohli techniques, playing styles and his survival in the matches makes him trustable that he should win the matches for India. He is considered to be a beast if it comes on chasing. His sharp mind consistently calculates how much run required in each other so that the pressure couldn’t come. 

In the last few years he was unable to score a century but after scoring a century last year approx after 40 months, his destruction started again. Last year only the match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match he says that it is one of his most important and valuable innings he had played.  

Kohli made his debut on 18th August 2008 against Sri Lanka in an ODI. His Test debut was on 20th June 2011 against West Indies and T20 debut was against Zimbabwe on 12th June 2010. Currently he is 2nd in the list of total century makers. Sachin Tendulakar is leading the chart with 100 international centuries in 664 matches. Kohli has 75 centuries in 499 matches.

Kohli has won the 2011 ICC ODI World Cup. he was also a member of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. In 2014 when his team was the runner-up on the T20 World Cup he was in the playing 11. Also represented the country in both the WTC championship final (2021, 2023). 

The 2nd Test between India and West Indies will be his 500th international match. India already lead the 2 match series by 1-0. India won the 1st match by an innings and 141 runs.
