SRH’s rampage leaves LSG in shambles

A full destruction mode by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) openers demolished the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 10 wickets.

Super Giants scored 165/4 in 20 overs which Sunrisers openers made it quite simple in chasing as they achieved the target in just 9.4 overs and scored 167 runs without losing any wickets.

Both the teams got defeats in their last respective encounters, so it was a must win match for both the teams to remain in easy contention for the playoffs seat. Suryakumar Yadav’s carnage century took the victory against SRH while Sunil Narine provided huge damage to Lucknow.

After winning the toss, KL Rahul chooses to bat first.

Super Giants were in trouble as they lost the top 4 in just 66 runs. From there a brilliant partnership of 99 runs was made between Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran.

Badoni scored his 2nd half-century in this season after scoring unbeaten 55 runs in 30 balls where he hit 9 boundaries. Whereas Pooran also remained unbeaten and scored 48 runs in 26 balls which includes 6 fours and a six.

Bhuvenshwar Kumar was excellent in his spell as he got 2 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 12 runs. Pat Cummins got 1 wicket.

In the chase, the target looked so tiny in front of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma as both of them just hit the ball outside the rope easily. Both of them were furious with the bat.

Head scored unbeaten 89 runs in 30 balls in which he hit 8 fours and 8 sixes. He had a strike rate of 296.97. Abhishek Sharma was also hitting and scored unbeaten 75 runs in 28 balls in which he hit 8 fours and 6 sixes. He had a strike rate of 267.86. Due to this destruction the team won the match without losing any wickets.
