South Africa now lead the chart by beating Pakistan in a close encounter by 1 wicket.
Pakistan scored 270/10 in 46.4 overs and Proteas chased down in 47.2 overs and scored 271/9.

Pakistan lost both of their openers at 38 runs. Babar Azam (50 runs) again provided a valuable knock but he failed to take that to a big one. He was supported by Mohammad Rizwan (31 runs) who played blasting shots from the starting.
Then a strong partnership of 115 runs for the 6th wicket between Saud Shakeel (52 runs) and Shadab Khan (43 runs). Their contribution took Pakistan to a respectable score and managed 270 runs in 46.4 overs by losing all their wickets.
Tabraiz Shamsi made a commanding comeback after taking 4 important wickets. Marco Jansen got 3 wickets. Gerald Coetzee got 2 wickets while Lungi Ngidi got 1 wicket.
Proteas started showing aggressive from the start as Quinton de Kock (24 runs) showed destruction. Aiden Markram (91 runs) missed his century by just 9 runs but played an impactful knock. He hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.
Some valuable contributions were made by David Miller (29 runs) and Marco Jansen (20 runs) but Keshav Maharaj (7 runs not out) touched down the victory shot by a boundary. They scored 271 runs in 47.2 overs by losing 9 wickets.
Pakistani bowlers did a commendable job by forcing them till the end. Shaheen Afridi claimed 3 wickets while Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Junior and Usama Mir grabbed 2 wickets each.
