Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released the star Indian all-rounder who played in the World Cup, Shardul Thakur, who was acquired by the franchise for a whopping amount of 10.75 crore from Delhi Capitals (DC) last year.

He had a drastic season last year in both departments. He made his presence in 11 matches in which he scored 113 runs and with the bowl he grabbed just 7 wickets only. Before Capitals, he played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) where he played from 2018-2021, then he shifted to Capitals and played just one season and then he came to KKR.
