MI’s agony and DC’s glory in an epic clash

Delhi Capitals (DC) registered their back to back victory and this time they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 10 runs. Again 200+ runs were scored from both the teams. In the last 10 matches it was the 9th instance. 

Delhi scored 257/4 in 20 overs and in reply Mumbai got 247/9 in 20 overs. 

In their previous encounter, Mumbai registered their first victory of the season after 3 back to back losses. 

Hardik Pandya after winning the toss goes for bowling. 

A pure destruction again showed by Jake Fraser-McGurk again and this time he scored 84 runs in just 27 balls in which he hit 11 fours and 6 sixes. His strike rate was 311.11, which made a huge impact on the team. Shai Hope also paced up as he scored 41 runs in 17 balls and hit 5 sixes. 

Towards the end it was Tristan Stubbs whose hard hitting Delhi reached their best ever total in IPL. Stubbs scored unbeaten 48 runs in 25 balls and hit 6 fours and 2 sixes. 

Jasprit Bumrah, Piyush Chawla, Luke Wood and Mohammad Nabi got 1 wicket each. With this Bumrah again reclaim the purple cap along with Punjab’s Harshal Patel as both of them got 14 wickets each. 

During the chase, Mumbai lost three wickets at just 65 runs. Then 71 runs were added between Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma. Hardik scored 46 runs in 24 balls in which he hit 4 fours and 3 sixes. Then Tilak Varma got back to back half-century and scored 63 runs in 32 balls. He hit 4 fours and 4 sixes in his knock.  

Tim David also showed the power of destruction with his batting after scoring 37 runs in just 17 balls, where he hit 2 fours and 3 sixes.

Rasik Dar Salam again shined in his bowling after taking 3 wickets in his 4 overs. Mukesh Kumar also grabbed 3 wickets by giving away 59 runs in his 4 overs. Khaleel Ahmed got 2 wickets each.
