Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face each other at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. MI stands on 3rd and LSG stands on 4th in the list of IPL standings

Both the teams will try to make their chances stronger for the playoffs. The team who lost the match will have to depend on the performance of other teams. Mumbai is having 14 points in 12 matches and Lucknow is having 13 points in 12 points.

Mumbai Indians won 4 matches in the last 5 matches. They defeated the table topper GT in their last encounter by 27 runs. Ishan Kishan was seen in great touch in the last few matches. Rohit Sharma against GT showed some destruction in the starting but he couldn’t convert it into a big one and scored 29 runs only.

Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock showed some good knocks in the starting. Mayers is the highest scorer from the side and made 361 runs in 12 matches. De Kock who didn’t get the opportunity in earlier matches but later on he was seen in place of KL Rahul and he performed brilliantly.

Suryakumar Yadav scored his maiden century in IPL against GT. He led the run department from his side and scored 479 runs with a huge strike rate of 190. 84. He was seen in great touch and was highly consistent in the last few matches. Nehal Wadhera also showed his firing in the last few matches. 

Prerak Mankad who was awarded in his last match against SRH. He scored 64 runs and held one side and remained not out. Marcus Stoinis has powerful hands and he can easily score a high number of runs in just a few balls.

Cameron Green who previously batted up in the order and there he performed brilliantly with some fifties to his credit. But he can hit the ball outside the ground and could be a great finisher. Due to this he was sent down the order. Tim David the most fierceful batter from the side and easily changed the run rate with his hard hitting sixes. 

Nicholas Pooran who hits 5 sixes in a single over of Abhishek Sharma against SRH changes the match atmosphere in their favor. He came when it was looking that the match slips from there hands but he started hitting in the very first ball. He was the main reason behind the successful change in the last match and made 44 runs in just 13 balls. Ayush Badoni can also hit the balls outside the ground. Krunal Pandya also drops his position and comes in 5-6 numbers.  

Mumbai were previously seen struggling a little in the bowling department, but in the last match they showed a good combination of bowlers except against Rashid Khan. Piyush Chawla is the highest wicket taker from MI and took 19 wickets till now in the tournament. Akash Madhwal performed brilliantly and clinched 3 wickets. Jason Behrendorff gets wickets in most of the matches but he sometimes gets expensive. 

Super Giants is still facing problem in bowling unit. Their bowlers are not seen in consistency. Ravi Bishnoi who is leading wicket taker from LSG, grabbed 12 wickets till now. But in the last few matches he was going expensive and hardly took any wickets. Amit Mishra’s half half of the season went well but in the second half he mostly went expensive and wicketless. Avesh Khan was looking out of touch in his bowling line and length. Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets against SRH, but still he is not consistent in the bowling as well.
