Match 64: DC vs PBKS| Game Analysis| Best 11| Pitch.

Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala will witness the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Punjab is at 8th and Delhi is at the bottom in the points table.

Delhi was the first team who was eliminated from the playoffs in this season, but they might create a hindrance for their opponents. They have 8 points in 12 matches. Punjab on the other hand wanted to win the match with a big margin because they are having a negative run rate and definitely wanted to improve it. They have 12 points in 12 matches.

Prabhsimran Singh who scored his maiden century against DC in his last match will again have to show his class to the same opponent on Wednesday. He scored 103 runs in 65 balls. He also supported Shikhar Dhawan from the other end. Shikhar Dhawan is leading the chart in highest run getter from his side and made 356 runs in 9 matches. Mostly he seems to be consistent. Both of them formed a good opening combination.

Finally David Warner was seen in good touch against PBKS in his last match. He made 54 runs in 27 balls and gave a good start to his team. But his firing innings couldn’t help the team to win the match. He also scored 384 runs for his team and is the highest run getter for Delhi. Phil Salt showed some great performance in the 2nd half of the season but due to his inconsistency he could convert it into a big one.

Punjab might be highly disappointed by the performance of Liam Livinstone. Except in two matches he was hardly seen scoring runs. He needs to step up his performance so that the team can get some benefits. Jitesh Sharma has the ability to keep the score moving and he sometimes gets too destructive.

Mitchell Marsh after returning to India showed some great knocks but later on he was struggling to put runs on the board. Rilee Rossouw and Manish Pandey also unable to score high runs and both of them are under performing.

Kings finishers are not putting runs in the death overs. Sam Curran wasn’t able to score much and this season he only scored 216 runs in 12 matches. His string of low scores continues. Sikander Raza and Shahrukh Khan, both of them unable to score much in the last overs.

Axar Patel is the only one from the team who performs brilliantly and consistently. He batted lower down the order but still he is 2nd highest run getter for his team and made 268 runs till now. Aman Hakim Khan and Ripal Patel couldn’t capitalize the opportunity.

PBKS bowling department is not showing consistent performance. Arshdeep Singh took 16 wickets till now for the team and is also leading wicket taker from the side. He was mostly expensive and in the 2nd half of season he was hardly able to take any wickets. Harpreet Brar bowled brilliantly in his last match and took 4 wickets against DC. Nathan Ellis also in an out performance makes him a little inconsistent.

The Capitals bowling lineup looked useless in this IPL season. Mitchell Marsh is the highest wicket taker for the team and grabbed 12 wickets. Axar Patel in this department also provided some economical spells and also clinched 10 wickets to his pockets. Kuldeep Yadav and Ishant Sharma also helped the team with some crucial wickets. But overall their bowling seems weak as compared to other teams.
