Match 50: SRH vs RR | Full Analysis | Pitch Report | Best 11

The 50th match of the tournament between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).

Teams Analysis:

Rajasthan Royals (RR):

They have already got 16 points in 9 matches and make their way for an easy qualification for the playoffs. They won 8 and lost just 1 match. They only need just a few more wins to make their seat reserve for the next round. Their batting is much stronger than their bowling as the top 4 are performing so well that the other batters didn’t get many chances to bat. This they also showed in the last match when they easily got past Lucknow while chasing.

Jos Butler got some layman start at the start of the tournament but as the things went passed he got back into his form and while chasing he already showed his beast form after registering two centuries in a winning chase. He scored 319 runs with a strike rate of 150.47 with an average of 53.17. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal also got in touch after scoring a brilliant century against MI. He has till now scored 249 runs with a superb strike rate of 154.66.

Skipper Sanju Samson is looking in top notch form after scoring most runs for the team. He is currently in the 7th position in the orange cap list with 385 runs. He scored four 50+ knocks till now and had a strike rate of 161.09. His average is 77 and the best was 82. Riyan Parag also scored well but in the last 3 innings he didn’t cross the 40 mark. He has 332 runs to his credit which includes 3 half-centuries.

Dhruv Jurel in the last match scored his maiden IPL half-century, where he scored unbeaten 52 runs. Shimron Hetmyer didn’t get much chance to show his power hitting much as the top 4 got most of the runs for the team.

Yuzvendra Chahal is topping the list for wicket-taking from the team. He has grabbed 13 wickets currently but the economy is slightly on the higher side which is 9. In the last few matches he was mostly expensive in his spells which he needed to figure it out.

Trent Boult and Avesh Khan both are superb in the pace department. Boult got 10 wickets till now while Avesh has 9 to his name. Sandeep Sharma is not much behind and has taken 8 wickets in 4 matches and in the match against MI he got 5 wickets which is his career best.

Probable playing 11 for the match:

Sanju Samson (c/wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Butler, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

Despite having the most destructive batting line-up in this season they just won 1 out of 4 while chasing. Due to this they are standing at the 5th position with 10 points in 9 matches where they won 5 and lost 4. They lost 2 matches back to back in their last encounters and both of them they lost while chasing. The last one was against Chennai when the men in yellow showed full domination against Hyderabad.

Travis Head has a better record when he batted first and the strike rate was over 200 but while chasing his strike rate drops down to below 125. In the chase, he got scores 31, 1 and 15. Till now he has 338 runs and is topping the list from the team in runs department. He scored one century and two half-centuries till now. Abhishek Sharma on the other hand got some fierce starts but was unable to carry those into big ones. He currently has 303 runs but got one 50+ knock to his name. He got 30s four times but couldn’t convert those.

Aiden Markram has 199 runs to his name which includes one half-century. He also has the same problem as the batter getting a good start but was unable to convert those to big ones. He has a striker rate of 130.92. Heinrich Klaasen has established himself as the beast and he turned it on anytime he wanted but in the last three innings he just had 15, 7 and 20. He has the capacity to hit hard and as a result he has a strike rate of 185.53.

All-rounders Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed have been performing decently till now. Both of them contributed well in both the departments. Nitish has 143 runs scored and got 3 wickets while Shahbaz got 176 runs with the bat and has taken 3 wickets. Abdul Samad has a strike rate of 187.34 and has added valuable runs towards the end.

Bowling has been their weakness from the start of the tournament as they conceded many runs. Except T Natarajan who has taken 13 wickets in 7 innings with an economy of 9. Skipper Pat Cummins got 10 wickets till now. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaydev Unadkat have been mostly expensive in their spells.
