Aussies are currently just a win away from qualifying to the next round of the World Cup. Their journey started with 2 losses but after then they didn’t move back and started their victory journey and won 5 matches back to back. They have the capacity to turn things around and make their chances bright after the victory. They are having brilliant performances in both batting and bowling.

David Warner after starting his journey with a couple of low scores has now gained his momentum. Till now he has 428 runs in his credit which includes 2 centuries and 1 half century. His highest score is 163 runs which came against Pakistan. Travis Head played just 2 matches and against New Zealand he scored a brilliant 109 runs in 67 balls. He is a great striker of the ball and if he gets going then the ball can be seen out of the park easily. 

Mitchell Marsh who left the team before the last match due to some reasons has now returned back and joined the team and will be available for the clash against Afghans. He scored 225 runs till now and hit 1 century and 1 half century. He can also contribute with the ball and against the Dutch he got 2 wickets. Steve Smith had a few great starts in the tournament but couldn’t convert them into a big one. He has just 1 half century which was 71 runs that came against Netherlands.  

Marnus Labuschagne also started well in some of the matches and has scored 272 runs which includes 2 half centuries to his name. His highest score was 71 runs which came in the last match against England. Josh Inglis made a brilliant 58 runs against Sri Lanka but after that he hasn’t been showing consistent performance and got out early. He needs to step up in the middle so that the burden will be less on other players.  

Glenn Maxwell showed his destructive side by scoring the fastest century in the World Cup that came against Netherlands. He has been providing valuable runs in the death overs. Also with the ball he has 4 wickets and bowled some economic spells. Marcus Stoinis, the hard hitter of the bat hasn’t shown that well in the matches he played. His highest score is 35 runs which was against England in the last match. 

Cameron Green  played a couple of matches in the tournament and played well against England where he scored 47 runs. Pat Cummins the leader of the team has 10 wickets to his pocket. He got wickets in each match except against India. He contributed well in lower down the order and batted aggressively. Mitchell Starc, one of the great bowlers in the World Cup hasn’t shown his consistency in this tournament. He has got 9 wickets till now but has an economy above 6, which hasn’t been seen much.   

Adam Zampa  is taking the burden of wickets and has grabbed 19 wickets till now in the tournament. He has taken at least 3 wickets in the last five matches. He is showing his consistency with the bowl. Josh Hazelwood has got 10 wickets in the tournament till now. His best performance was against India where he got 3 wickets.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz has given his team a solid start in most of the matches. He has 234 runs in the World Cup with 2 half centuries. His strike rate is 99.15 which is highly commendable. He can bat aggressively anytime he wants. Ibrahim Zadran started the tournament with some low scores but as the tournament progressed he has improved a lot and batted sensibly. He scored a half century against Pakistan where he scored 87 runs and got awarded Player of the Match.  

Rahmat Shah, one of the experienced players in the squad has some low scores in the starting matches but gets his rhythm back and hits 3 back to back half centuries in the last 3 matches. He has now scored 264 runs. Hashmatullah Shahidi the leader of the team is leading in the runs department for his team as he made 282 runs till now which includes 3 half centuries. He is having an average of 70.5 in the tournament. 

Azmatullah Omarzai  has been contributing well and has provided 234 runs till now. He scored 2 half centuries and his highest score was 73 runs which came against Sri Lanka. He is striking the ball well and has a strike rate of 99.15. Ikram Alikhil didn’t get to bat in the last 3 matches but in the first match which he played against England where he scored 58 runs and took his team to a respectable total. 

Mohammad Nabi, one of the most experienced players in the team, bowled brilliantly against Netherlands where he got 3 wickets and was named Player of the Match. He took 6 wickets in the tournament but has been little bad in case of batting in the World Cup. Rashid Khan has got 7 wickets in the tournament and provided some valuable runs in the death overs. He is also having huge experience in the team, which he shows during the matches. 

Mujeeb Ur Rahman also got 7 wickets to his name and against England he played superbly with the bowl and with the bat he contributed 28 runs in just 16 balls. Fazalhaq Farooqi has taken 6 wickets in the tournament till now. He bowled brilliantly against Sri Lanka where he got 4 wickets and was named Player of the Match. 

Naveen-ul-Haq has got 6 wickets and is improving better than before. But his expensive spells need to be put down so that he can maintain pressure on the opposition. Noor Ahmed has played just 2 matches and taken 5 wickets till now. He is brilliant in the field and showed great improvement in his early age.
