The 21st match of the tournament between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT). The match between them will start at 7:30 P.M. (IST).
Teams Analysis:
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):
This team has a huge lot of hard hitters in the team who have the capacity to change the momentum of the match anytime. Not only with their batting unit but their pace department has been excellent, especially after adding Mayank Yadav to their squad. Despite starting the season with a loss, they got back to back victories and their last victory was against RCB when they swapped them away by 28 runs.
Quinton de Kock has been in tremendous form and hit back to back half-centuries in Lucknow’s winning cause. He has scored 139 runs with a strike rate of 140.40 and has average close to 47 in 3 matches. KL Rahul also played well and has registered his first half-century in this season in their first match against Rajasthan.
Nicholas Pooran, the man in form has shown his beast form in this season from the beginning and scored 146 runs with a whooping strike rate of 175.90. Among the 3 matches he remained unbeaten on 2 occasions. His average is 146 till now in this IPL and if gets unbeaten then again huge runs can be seen easily.
Krunal Pandya has been performing decently till now. He played a destructive knock against Punjab where he scored 43 runs in just 22 balls. With the bowl, although he didn’t get any wicket till now but has an economy of 6.88 in 3 matches. On the other hand Australian hard hitter Marcus Stoinis failed to capitalize the opportunities he gets till now and better performance is expected from him.
Mayank Yadav has been in sensational form as he got 3 wickets in 2 matches, taking the wicket tally to 6. He is currently in 3rd place in the purple cap list. He already bowled this season’s fastest delivery. First in his debut match he got 155.8 kmph and then in the last match he broke his own record and got past that and bowled 156.7 kmph. His fierce pace and bowling with a lot of discipline will definitely hurt the opposition again.
Naveen-ul-Haq though got 4 wickets till now but conceded many runs as his economy is 9 in 3 matches. Team’s main spinner Ravi Bishnoi has an economy of 9.6 and got just 1 wicket.
Probable playing 11 for the match:
KL Rahul (c/wk), Quinton de Kock, Devdutt Padikkal, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen-ul-Haq, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan.

Gujarat Titans (GT):
This team is currently in 7th position with 2 wins and 2 losses in 4 matches. Their performance has been decent till now but they need to work more efficiently in the death overs in which they were choking. Like in the last match against PBKS, they were headed towards an easy victory but in the death overs they choked and as a result Punjab clinched the victory from their mouth by 3 wickets.
Skipper Shubman Gill must be happy as he got his rhythm back in the last match after registering unbeaten 89 runs. Though he got a couple of 30s previously but this time he makes the most use of it. His partner Wriddhiman Saha is yet to make his bat sound. Mostly he got a destructive start but was unable to take that too much longer and got out in the powerplay.
B Sai Sudharsan has been performing consistently due to which he got 160 runs till now under his pocket. He scored a couple of 30s and 40s but is yet to get past 50+ mark. Kane Williamson played the last match where he scored 26 runs only. He has the capacity to start slow and after settling down will be dangerous as he has the ability to score all around the ground.
David Miller finished well against SRH as he scored unbeaten 44 runs and took his team to the finishing line. But in the last match he got a little niggle due to which he couldn’t play. If he gets fit then he definitely will be seen in the playing 11 as he is a beast in the death overs.
Mohit Sharma has been brilliant with his bowling as he got 7 wickets and is currently wearing the purple cap along with CSK’s Mustafizur Rahman. Every time when the team needs a wicket, he provides. Rashid Khan doesn’t look in this lethal form. Though he got 4 wickets but has an economy of over 9, which is hardly seen.
Umesh Yadav and Azmatullah Omarzai didn’t impress much. Both of them got 4 wickets but were expensive in their spells. Umesh has an economy of 11 whereas Omarzai has an economy of 9.38. Omarzai is also known for his hard hitting but in his inaugural season he is yet to show that.
Probably playing 11 for the Match:
Shubman Gill ©, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), B Sai Sudharsan, Azmatullah Omarzai, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Darshan Nalkande.
