South Africa (SA) Analysis:

Proteas started their journey with a destruction but this destruction was stopped by a non associate team. Netherlands defeated South Africa in their last outing by 38 runs. It must be a great setback for them. But they started with a big bang over Sri Lanka by 102 runs, where they created and destroyed many records. Also against Australia they took the match one sided and defeated them by 134 runs.

Quinton de Kock missed his third consecutive century. Till now he scored 229 runs which includes two centuries. He is batting with an average of 76.33 and has a strike rate of 108.02. Temba Bavuma is yet to make a significant knock. In the three matches he scored just 8, 35 & 16 runs. He showed the defensive approach while de Kock opted for the aggressive role.

Rassie van der Dussen after scoring a century against Lankans in the first match was looking not in touch in the last two matches where he scored 26 & 4 runs. Aiden Markram already hit the fastest century in the World Cup and scored 163 runs including 1 century and 1 half century. His strike rate is 161.39 and showed no mercy to the bowlers.

Heinrich Klassen started well in the matches but he wasn’t able to convert it into a big one. In his three knocks he scored 32, 29 & 28 runs. He has the capability to turn the run rate into a high. David Miller is the giant in the death overs and bowlers become helpless in those overs. He was expecting to be the match changer against the Dutch but he got out on 43 runs and the hopes of the Proteas ended there.

Marco Jansen showed some good hands with the bat in the death overs while in bowling he got 6 wickets. His economy is more than 6. He started the bowling with some dangerous swings but later on he was played easily by the batters. Gerald Coetzee was remarkable in his first World Cup match but in the match against Dutch he gave away runs easily.

Keshav Maharaj batted brilliantly in the last match against Netherlands but the required run rate was much higher due to which he couldn’t achieve it. With his bowling he got 5 wickets in the tournament with an impressive economy of 4.48. Kagiso Rabada got the most wickets for his team in this tournament with 7 wickets in his pockets. He is a lethal bowler during the middle overs and also in the death overs.

Lungi Ngidi started the spell for his team and his swing makes it hard for the batters to play. Till now he got 4 wickets and against Aussies where they were unable to get his deliveries easily. Tabraiz Shamsi played only in one match against Australia where he got 2 wickets.

Predicted 11 for the Match:

Temba Bavuma ©, Quinton de Kock (wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klassen, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi.

England (ENG) Analysis:

England needs to show up their power again. They are the defending champion and lost two matches in 3 games. One of the most upsetting moments for them was their loss against Afghanistan in their last encounter by 69 runs. They won the inaugural World Cup match against Kiwis by 9 wickets while they only won the match against Bangladesh by 137 runs

Dawid Malan the star opener from the side has played an impressive knock of 140 runs against Bangladesh and registered his maiden World Cup century. But despite this he scored 32 & 14 runs. Jonny Bairstow on the other hand played well against Bangladesh and New Zealand, but could score more according to his play style. He hit a half century against the Bengal Tigers.

Joe Root, the most dependable batsman from the side, missed his third consecutive half century in the last outing. He is batting well and is playing aggressive this time which is not his play style but it works well for him. Harry Brook scored 66 runs against Afghans and stood alone against the great bowling line up of them, but unfortunately he couldn’t take the final step of victory.

Ben Stokes might make his return to the match against South Africa as he is fit enough to play and the team needs him more in the middle overs. Jos Butler the skipper of the team has not shown his full potential yet, with a highest score of 43 runs in this tournament not matching his stats. Liam Livingstone the hard hitter of the team has scored 20, 0 & 10 runs in the death overs. His low scores eventually affect the team score at the end.

Sam Curran did not show any extraordinary performance in both the departments. He wasn’t able to provide runs with the bat and with the ball, he was highly expensive. He needs to step up in both the departments so that it will work for the team. Chris Woakes who showed remarkable all round performance during the New Zealand series just before the tournament but here he failed to show his class. He was giving away runs easily and with the bat runs were not coming easily.

Adil Rashid is the main spinner of the side and he has grabbed 4 wickets till now. Mark Wood, the top rated speedstar of the team has taken 3 wickets till now. He bowled brilliantly against Bangladesh where he got 1 wicket in his 10 overs by giving away only 29 runs. But in the remaining two matches he was expensive with his spells.

Reece Topley has got 5 wickets so far which is the most number of wickets for the team right now. Against Bengal Tigers he got 4 wickets which ultimately put the opposition on the back foot.

Predicted 11 for the Match:

Jos Butler (c/wk), Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Harry Brook / Ben Stokes, Liam Livingsgtone, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Reece Topley.
