Sri Lanka (SL) Analysis:

A time of misfortunes happened with this team in this World Cup. They lost all their three matches despite getting a good start in their batting. Firstly they lost in their inaugural match in which South Africa set many records and lost the match by 102 runs. Then they lost their 2nd match against Pakistan by 6 wickets and then their 3rd loss came against Australia by 5 wickets

Pathum Nissanka  after starting the tournament with a zero has now scored back to back to fifties. He has scored 112 runs with a strike rate of 85.50. Kusal Perera after choking in the first two scored 78 runs against Australia with an impressive strike rate of 95.12. 

KusaL Mendis has already been appointed the new Lankan skipper since Dasun Shanaka is out of the World Cup due to injury. Mendis has scored 207 runs in the tournament which includes 1 century and 1 half century. His average is also commendable which is 69. Now with a new responsibility he had to concentrate in this department also. Sadeera Samarawickrama despite a century he was not looking good with the bat and scored 23 & 8 runs till now. 

Charith Asalanka the hard hitter of the ball started well with a knock of 79 runs against the Proteas but in the last two matches he scored 1 & 25 runs. He can shift the momentum easily and has the capability to score big. Dhananjaya de Silva failed to show great performance in both the departments. With his batted he started but wasn’t able to convert it into a big one and with his bowling he is highly expensive.

Chamika Karunaratne played in place of Dasun Sjanka but was not so convincing in his first match against Australia where he scored just 2 runs and was unable to get a wicket. Maheesh Theekshana after making his comeback wasn’t able to show his performance up to the mark and got 1 wicket in 2 matches. 

Lahiru Kumara played against Australia but was beaten brutally by them and conceded 47 runs. Matheesha Pathirana has bowled highly expensive spells.in his first match he conceded 95 runs while in the second match he gave 90 runs. Kasun Rajitha was giving away runs easily in his spell. 

Dilshan Madushanka  bowled brilliantly against Aussies and got 3 wickets. Till now he took 7 wickets with an economy of 6.49. Dunith Wellalage hasn’t been improving with his bowling and batting till now and wasn’t able to show his Asia Cup performance till now.

Netherlands (NED) Analysis:

They shocked the world by their great victory against the inform Proteas team, where they won the match by 38 runs. It was also their first victory in this tournament. Earlier they lost both of their matches, first against Pakistan by 81 runs and then against New Zealand by 99 runs

Vikramjit Singh started with a fifty in the World Cup but after that he just scored 12 & 2 runs. He is one of the greatest batsmen from the side and needs to give his team a proper start. Max O’Dowd failed to show any good batting performances. Till now he scored just 5,16 & 18 runs. Colin Ackermann scored a brilliant half century against New Zealand and got 3 wickets in the tournament so far. 

Bas de Leede, a great allrounder from the side has scored a brilliant half century against Pakistan and got 7 wickets till now in the tournament which is the most by a Dutch bowler in this World Cup. Sybrand Engelbrecht provided some useful contributions with the bat in the middle overs and some good partnerships with the other batters. 

Teja Nidamanuru started well in the last two matches but he was unable to convert those innings into a big one. Scott Edwards, the skipper of the team, took his team out from the danger against South Africa and played a brilliant innings of 78 runs. He was adjudged Player of the Match in the game. Logan van Beek, after dropping from their 2nd match against New Zealand got involved again and took 3 wickets against the Proteas. 

Roelof van der Merwe played a brilliant all round innings against South Africa. In his batting he scored 29 runs and then took 2 wickets. Not only this he was brilliant in the fielding and gave a huge contribution in the win. Aryan Dutt too was brilliant with the bat as he contributed 23 runs. In the bowling department he got 3 wickets till now in the tournament. 

Paul van Meekeren got 5 wickets in the tournament so far with an economy of 5.79. He is surely a beast in the middle overs.

The match will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The pitch will be bowling friendly in the 2nd innings. Batsmen will find it hard to bat in the second innings. In the initial overs bowlers will get some swing also. 

Weather will be sunny throughout the day. No chance of rain is expected and humidity will be around 50%.
