Ishan Kishan missed the opportunity to make his appearance in the Indian Cricket Team.
He was released from the BCCI’s central contract. Many reasons were given for his removal. According to reports of ESPNcricinfo, it was said that Ishan was given a chance for the India-England Test series after KL Rahul got injured, but he refused the proposal, after saying that he is still not ready to play international cricket.
He was last seen against Australia in the T20 series just after the 2023 ODI World Cup. After that he was selected for the South Africa tour but he returned home after saying that he was having some personal issues due to which he couldn’t play. Also he was unable to play the Afghanistan series and now he couldn’t make his presence in the England series.
The BCCI also told him to play the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand, which he refused. After so many scenarios, the board finally took this hard decision and made him out of the contract.
After his rejection for the England series, Dhruv Jurel got the chance to play since KS Bharat was unable to perform well in the first two matches. Jurel utilized the chance pretty well and registered his maiden half-century in the 4th Test match and also supported Shubman Gill in the 4th innings to taste the victory for the team.
