Direct qualification scenario of teams for CWC:
Washout of 2nd odi between SL and NZ creates a chaos for direct qualification of cwc for SL. Also the one point deduction of SA for maintaining a slow over rate creates difficulty for them to qualify for qualification.
According to ICC 7 out of 8 teams in cricket WC super league had qualified already: New Zealand (165 points), England (155 points), India (139 points), Bangladesh (130 points), Pakistan (130 points), Australia (120 points) and Afghanistan (115 points).
ICC men’s super league standings for CWC:

WI is currently in 8th place having 86 points (after deduction of 2 points due to slow over rate) and they don’t have any matches left so they can’t do anything more to get more points.
SL now have 81 points placing 9th in the world cup super league standings. With the abandonment of 2nd odi between SL & NZ it becomes tough for them to directly qualify for the CWC.
SA have 76 points (after deduction of 2 points due to slow over rate) placed 10th in super league standings. They only have 2 matches left that are against Netherlands in their home series.
Ireland have 66 points (after deduction of 2 points due to slow over rate) standing 11th in the super league. They were defeated by Bangladesh 2-0 with one match canceled due to rain due to which it made it almost impossible for them to qualify.
Remaining three teams who will not directly qualify have to play with the other teams who will play for the qualifiers.
