England vs Scotland match abandoned due to rain

Due to continuous rain, the match between England and Scotland got abandoned. Both the teams will share one point each.  

Scotland after winning the toss opted to bat first. After the toss rain started and the match got delayed due to this.  

Due to rain, the overs got reduced to 10 each side. As the rain got heavier, Scotland scored 51 runs for no loss in 6.2 overs and when they came back the overs got reduced and they managed 90 runs in 10 overs without any loss of wickets and according to DLS the target was set to 109 runs. 

The Scottish openers scored the 2nd highest partnership for the team in the T20 World Cups till date. George Munsey scored unbeaten 41 runs in 31 balls and hit 4 fours and 2 sixes whereas his partner Micheal Jones got unbeaten score of 45 runs in 30 balls and hit 4 fours and 2 sixes. 

The defending champion bowlers didn’t get any wickets. 

As the Scottish batters finished their quota of batting, the rain again started and the covers were back again. After that the rain got heavier and finally the match was abandoned.
