Indian team got their hand above on the 1st day of the 5th test in Dharamsala. England got all-out in 57.4 overs and scored 218 runs in their 1st innings. In reply to this, India posted 135 runs in 30 overs by losing 1 wicket.
Home team has already won the series as they won 3 out of 5 till now and 1 was won by the English team. England won the 1st match by 28 runs, whereas India won the 2nd match by 106 runs, 3rd by 434 runs and 4th by 5 wickets.
The English team has won the toss and they opted to bat first.
At the start, the openers Zak Crawley (79 runs) and Ben Duckett (27 runs) posted 64 runs for the 1st wicket. It was the highest partnership for the tram in the 1st innings. Crawley scored the most runs for the team and played 108 balls in which he hit 11 fours and a six.
The Indian spinner took all the wickets. They showed their dominance again. Kuldeep Yadav led the team with 5 wickets, Ashwin got 4 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja got 1 wicket.
Home team in their 1st innings, played a pure bazball where the openers captain Rohit Sharma (52 runs not out) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (57 runs) posted 104 runs for the 1st wicket. In the end, Shubman Gill (27 runs not out) remained in the crease along with the skipper.
Shoaib Bashir got the only wicket for the English team.
