Bangladesh storms into the Super 8

In a low scoring match, Bangladesh managed somehow to register a great win and mark their seat to the Super 8. They defeated Nepal by 21 runs. 

Bengal Tigers last match resulted in a great win against Netherlands whereas Nepal missed the chance at the last moments against South Africa to register the victory.  

After winning the toss, Rohit Paudel opted to bowl first. 

Bangladesh managed only 106/10 in 19.3 overs and in reply Nepal only managed 85/10 in 19.2 overs. It is also the most successful defense in T20 World Cup history. 

When the Bengal Tigers came to bat, a pathetic performance was seen in their batting. Shakib Al Hasan was the highest scorer from the side with 17 runs to his credit as he took 22 balls to reach there. 

Towards the end, Taskin Ahmed (12 runs not out) and Rishad Hossain (13 runs) added valuable runs towards the end and got the team score par 100. 

Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel and Sandeep Lamichhane all got 2 wickets each. 

In the chase, Nepal showed more poor performance with the bat. In the middle Kusal Malla (27 runs in 40 balls) and Dipendra Singh Airee (25 runs in 31 balls) tried to get close to the target but they failed to get par. Four batters got out on a duck and as a result they lost the match. 

Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled a brilliant spell of 4 overs 7 runs and 4 wickets. He also got 2 maiden overs in his spell. Mustafizur Rahman also bowled well as he grabbed 3 wickets in his 4 overs and conceded only 7 runs. He also got a maiden over. Shakib Al Hasan got 2 wickets and Taskin Ahmed got 1 wicket.
