Teams Analysis
New Zealand (NZ):
They already exited the Super 8 round, but they definitely wanted to end the journey with a great win. They lost back to back two matches due to which they were unable to proceed much further but in the last match they showed their destructive mode and got a dominating win against Uganda.
This tournament one of the major tensions was their batting. The batters didn’t perform, the class they have. They have top class batters in their team but all of them flopped miserably.
Glenn Phillips is their top scorer as he managed 58 runs in 2 innings and has a strike rate of 113.73. His best came against West Indies where he scored 40 runs. Both the openers Devon Conway and Finn Allen scored 35 runs each. Conway has a strike rate of 106.06 while Finn has a strike rate of 85.37.
Skipper Kane Williamson has a disastrous season going as he only contributed 10 runs in 2 innings with a strike rate of 66.67. He is known for his valuable addition to the team for most of the time but in this season he was little outlook with the bat.
Their bowling has been much better in comparison to their batting. Trent Boult led the way for the team as he had 7 wickets to his name. His economy is 3.75 and provided difficulty to the batters especially in the powerplay. Tim Southee, the other experienced guy also helped him from the other end as he grabbed 5 wickets to his and has a brilliant economy of 3.12.
Lockie Ferguson has 4 wickets to his name while the spinner and all-rounder, Mitchell Santner, has 3 wickets to his credit.

The wicket-keeper batter of the team, Kiplin Doriga, scored the most runs for his team after contributing 66 runs with the bat. In three matches he got 27, 12 & 27 runs, but was unable to take that to much longer. Skipper Assad Vala who failed to show his mark in the batting as he got just 24 runs but has a decent one in the bowling as he got 3 wickets for the team till now and has an economy of 6.33.
Sese Bau after scoring a brilliant 50 runs knock against West Indies in the first match he got 5 and a golden duck in the next two matches. His strike rate was 103.77 till now.

The match will be played at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. 65m and 60m boundaries on right and left and straight boundary is 74m. It’s a lot harder and the only thing that might be worried about is an area near the good length area that has a patch and that can be tricky for the batters.
