Rohit Sharma shares India’s plan to conquer the trophy

Indian ODI and test skipper, Rohit Sharma had seen a lot of setbacks in the past couple of months. But his approach towards winning the Champions Trophy is still on the positive approach.

Rohit showed his positiveness for the upcoming ICC tournament  during the 50th anniversary celebration of the Wankhede stadium. In that celebration many star former cricketers were also present along with the Indian skipper, where Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and many more were seen.

In that celebration, the Indian skipper said that the team will do everything to win the tournament and he knows that all the people of India will support the team.

“We will try our best. It is always a dream to represent the Indian team in any ICC trophy. We will embark on another dream. I am sure that when we reach Dubai, 140 crore people will be behind us. We will try to do everything we can to bring the trophy back again at Wankhede.”

Recently the 15-member squad for the Men In Blue were declared where Rohit will again be seen as the skipper of the team while Shubman Gill will be his deputy. Bumrah whose participation is still not clear has got his name into the list. The final date to make any changes for the squad is February 12. Harshit Rana is considered to be his replacement if he didn’t get fully fit before the tournament.

The tournament will take place in Pakistan except the match of the Indian team, who will play all their matches in Dubai. Due to security concerns, the Men In Blue will not travel to the hosting nation. They are in Group A in which Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand will be there. The first match of the team will be against Bangladesh on February 20.
