In their last league match, Australia registered an easy win over Bangladesh by 8 wickets. In this way Aussies got 12 points whereas Bengal Tigers just managed 4 points only.

Bangladesh started quite well as they scored 76 runs for the first wicket. Towhid Hridoy (74 runs) scored the most runs for his team. It was also his highest score in the tournament. He hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in his knock. As Shakib was not playing due to the injury, Najmul Hossain Shanto (45 runs) took the charge and added 64 runs partnership with Hridoy.
In the end, some powerful hitting by Mehidy Hasan Miraz (29 runs) took the team score to 306 runs in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets.
Adam Zampa again impressed with his bowling as he took 2 wickets by giving away just 32 runs in his 10 overs. Sean Abbott also claimed 2 wickets in his first World Cup match. Marcus Stoinis got 1 wicket.
During the chase, Aussies lost Travis Head (10 runs) early. Then Mitchell Marsh (177 runs not out) scored his best performance in the ODI and smashed a destructive knock. He hit 17 fours and 9 sixes in his 132 balls inning. He made a brilliant partnership of 120 runs with David Warner (53 runs).
Then with Steve Smith (63 runs not out), Marsh posted a fantastic partnership of 175 runs and took his team to a 8 wickets win and scored 307 runs in 44.4 overs.
