This will be their last match in the Super 8 round. To make their chances bright for the Semis they need to win this match by a huge margin only then they might contest for the next round. In the batting unit, Phil Salt is currently their leading runs scorer with 158 runs to his credit. He needs to play an anchor role in the last match of Super 8, so that the team will set the momentum from the start.
Skipper Jos Buttler got a good start in most of the matches but was unable to convert them into big ones. His best was against Australia where he scored 42 runs. He has in total scored 108 runs till now with a strike rate of 131.71. Harry Brook played a brilliant knock against South Africa in the last match where he scored 53 runs and almost took his team to the finishing line but failed to get par the targeted score. He has contributed till now 120 runs in 3 innings and has a strike rate of 164.38.
Liam Livingstone also took the match with his destructive batting against Proteas in the last match where he scored 33 runs in 17 balls. He was the one who provided air to the team for the winning ways but after his departure things got changed and at last they lost the match.
In the bowling unit, Jofra Archer is leading the way for the team in terms of wickets as he got 9 to his pocket. His economy was 7.29 and got wickets in almost all the matches except against Scotland, which was their first encounter of this season.
A different Adil Rashid is seen in the Super 8, as in both the matches he conceded only 21 and 20 runs in his respective 4 overs of spell. He has taken 7 wickets till now with an economy of 7.4. After them Chris Jordan, Mark Wood and Moeen Ali got 3 wickets each till now.

They have already been eliminated from the Semis as they lost both of their matches in the Super 8. This will also be their last match in this T20 World Cup. They had few positives in this tournament which will help them to perform better in their upcoming matches.
Looking at the batting point of view, Andries Gous has been their most successful batter in this season as he scored 211 runs till now and is among the top 10 run getters in this season. His strike rate is 150.71 and averages above 50(52.75). He got two half-centuries to his name and the best came against South Africa where he almost took his team to the victory but failed at the last moment. He made unbeaten 80 runs there.
In the absence of Monank Patel, Aaron Jones does the leadership role. Jones started the season well and with his brilliant contribution in the starting two matches the team ended up victorious there. But in the last three matches he only managed 11, 0 & 11 runs. He has scored 152 runs till now and the strike rate has dropped down to 146.15.
Except for these two batters, none of the other batters showed promising knocks with the bat. Although Monank Patel showed his brilliancy against pakistan where he scored 50 runs with the bat, after that he got injured and didn’t play any matches.
In the bowling unit, Saurabh Netravalkar has been their most successful bowler. He got 6 wickets and has an economy of 6.18, which is the best among the bowlers in the team. After him then, left arm orthodox bowler, Harmeet Singh, got most wickets as he grabbed 4 till now. His economy is little on the higher side which is 7.36.
