Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) spectacular bowling performance got the final ticket after defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 36 runs.
Sunrisers scored 175/9 in 20 overs and in reply Royals scored 139/7 in 20 overs. With this victory now Orange Army will fight against Men in Purple again but this time for the final of TATA IPL 2024.
Before the Qualifier they met just once in the group stage where Hyderabad just passed the edge by 1 run and got the match in their favour.
After winning the toss, Sanju Samson chooses to bowl first.
Heinrich Klaasen led the way for the team as he scored 50 runs in 34 balls in which he hit 4 sixes. He batted with a strike rate of 147.06 and took the pressure off from the team in the middle overs.
Rahul Tripathi showed the destruction with his batting as he scored 37 runs in 15 balls and hit 5 fours and 2 sixes. Whereas Travis Head scored 34 runs in 28 balls.
Trent Boult and Avesh Khan, both got 3 wickets each. Sandeep Sharma got 2 wickets.
In the chase, despite Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 42 runs knock at the start the team struggled a lot as they lost wickets from the other end. Dhruv Jurel in the middle tried his best with his unbeaten innings of 56 runs in 35 balls. But he couldn’t get the par score.
Except for these two players, none of the other players in the team tried to hold up the things for much longer.
Shahbaz Ahmed‘s spectacular performance with the bowl as he took 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 23 runs. While Abhishek Sharma was unable to perform with the bat but with the bowl he got 2 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 24 runs. T Natarajan and Pat Cummins got 1 wicket each.
