Najam Sethi became the chairman for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) last year and his tenure was till 21st June. He didn’t put his name for the chairmanship and withdrew his name. He was highly expected to be the next chairman.
Just a few months left for the Asia Cup he pulled his name and through his twitter account he said, “I don’t want to be a bone of contention between Asif Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif. Such instability and uncertainty is not good for PCB. Under the circumstances I am Not a candidate for Chairmanship of PCB. Good luck to all Stakeholders.”
