Rain interrupts Day 3 of the Ashes of 1st Test.

Due to rain only approx 47 overs were bowled today and for next two remaining days additional half an hour will be added to the day. Australia was restricted within the par score and made 386/10 and England got a lead of 7 runs. England finished with 28/2 before the rain came. 

Just few runs added to the Day 2 score England got their first breakthrough in the form of Alex Carey who departed at the score of 66 runs. Khawaja and Cummins tried to build a partnership but Robinson took the bails of Khawaja and he departed after a brilliant knock of 141 runs. Cummins tried to get the lead in the first innings but he didn’t get any support from the other end. He was the last one whose wicket fell. He scored 38 runs which includes 3 gigantic sixes.

Robinson and Broad took 3 wickets each. Moeen Ali grabbed 2 wickets while Anderson and Stokes took 1 wicket each. 

In the 2nd innings when England came to bat, the bowl was moving more than the previous innings and as a result the English team had to lose their openers. Zak Crawley made 7 runs and Ben Duckett made 19 runs before departing. Cummins and Boland took 1 wicket each.
