Two warm matches will be played in his absence. Their first warm up match will be played against Afghanistan on 29th September while their second and last warm up match will be against New Zealand on 2nd October.
Proteas star pacer Anrich Nortje and Sisanda Magala are ruled out from the World Cup due to the injuries.
Bavuma has looked great in recent matches and already scored an unbeaten century against the Australians during the ODI series. He definitely will be a key batter from the side and has an influential role in the opening. In his absence Reeza Hendricks might open with Quinton de Kock.
